I may be high but I think I found the answer to your question.
    - Holtz’s name was on the “short” list for Arkansas last week. Since Skippy has been doing a “great” job at Tech, our AD believed he needed to come up with a plan to keep him here. Money is a problem since we can’t give him another raise. So how could Tech keep Holtz here when his team seemed to be unbeatable? After rolled and smoked a big blunt, the idea came to his mind - an unexpected piss tests would do it. What happened next is what we saw the last few days.

In the end, this wasn’t anyone’s fault at Tech. What they did was for the best of our football program. We will be able to keep Skippy here for life while will set the record for most bowl wins in a row.

A noble expectation but no longer realistic.

If the use of pot was the only reason, this is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous! Surprise piss test before our biggest game?????

Have Shifty Shiff investigate this. Love the conspiracy theory!

How could you possibly believe this is what happened?

Surely not. J’Mar endangers no one and gets caught with pot in his system. Higgins only got 1 game for a DWI. Something doesn't add up here

He got caught back in September. He knew he would be tested again. He was and he failed again.

You think Higgins would have liked to have a do over too?

So you know your star player has a very good chance of testing positive again so you administer the test the day before the most important game of the year. A game that could truly put your program on the map. Not before the run of games we could have won without him but the road game at Marshall.

    I call bullshit on this.

Never mind, I read the rest of your post.

He/They were tested for the second time before the UNT game. Smith opted for the B test results which didn't come out until Monday after the UNT game. This has been explained a number of times.

Fair enough. That should be the NCAA standard across the board.

If this is the second or third time, the suspensions are definitely warranted. I thought this was a first time offense. Also, as most of you have stated - NCAA rules. I wonder if it is different in states where it is legal?

Some bad information is being put out to favor the athletes. This was NOT the first time.

The NCAA is not bound by varying state laws. They are a private organization with willing members and as such can set whatever rules they wish.
