My understanding is that CUSA changed the rules today. They eliminated the rule that allows the team that has had the longest absence from the championship from being selected. My understanding is now that it will come down to the team with the highest ranking in all the polls which will favor us if we win. May have been posted elsewhere

But Tech may not still be the highest ranked of the 3 schools that are tied after this weekend. USM plays a much higher ranked FAU this weekend, while Tech plays a much lower ranked UTSA. That could impact the rankings if all 3 schools (Tech, USM & UAB) win.

You’re right. Out of the five polls, Tech leads in 4. Of those four, we have a comfortable lead in 1 (wolfe) and lead by only 2 points in the other 3 ( Anderson and Hester, Colley Matrix and Massey). Southern Miss has a lead in Sagarin. Not only do we need to win, I think we have to win convincingly to make sure they don’t surpass us in 2 of the 3 polls.

To me, the least likely scenario is that all three schools win this weekend....Most likely USM loses.......UNT vs UAB is a toss-up....UAB has won 1 conference road game......UNT has lost one home game......ESPN predictor has UNT 56% : UAB 44%........ Fine is healthy......
