There is a guy who sits in my section at the Ibowl and him and his wife wear their KState gear every year for as long as I can remember....
I’ve always wore my Tech gear to Ibowls whether we were in it or not...

''Don't be a bad dagh..."
6 in a row and one of the most hated players in school history led us to 3 of those.
Is this a reference to J'mar Smith?
If so, he had nothing to do with the three bowl wins. Our defense won all three of those games. Anyone, and I mean any college QB, would have been 3-0 in those games with the way our D played. Holtz had him on a tight leash so Smith didn't mess it up. But, that is all he did....not lose the games. He didn't win any of them. Ryan Higgins did win the game over Navy, however. Our D got gouged that night by Navy's running attack and Higgins matched them drive for drive.
Try to keep up....
We goose egged Miami, that was a defensive win. Our defense bailed us out many times when our offense couldn't do anything all day. Agreeing with dawg80 on this.
That is unfairly unbalanced. JMar didn’t play a 5th year senior quality type of game. He really didn’t play a very good game at all. To give him 100% credit for the points takes away from his team mates’ performances. This is exactly the sort of unearned dos that JMar gets that aren’t fair.
J’Mar Smith was an inconsistent, often mediocre QB. Now we can argue about whether that is more an indictment of Holtz or Smith, and I think that would be a legitimate discussion. But we should have won more games than we did during the last three years.
