I think you have to be able to put up a good number of points against a very mediocre Texas, Marshall, and UAB squad. I don’t put a lot of stock in good numbers against UTSA, Bowling Green, UMASS, or Grambling.
Edit: our production against FCS Grambling and a terrible Rice team is pretty telling if you ask me.
Back to the original question - Any word on a QB for next year?????

What are the chances of getting another Sokol or Driskell?
I don’t know about finding another Sokol or Driskell, but we should be able to find a transfer QB to come in and challenge the status quo. There’s over 60 QB’s in that transfer portal looking for a better life. I’m surprised that the number is so high. Holtz and Company need to go to work.
Someone with a Parkway connection should be contacting Justin Roger's and letting him know he has the chance to come in and impress for the starting position.
That’s fair, but J’Mar was MUCH improved and Henderson gave us a great year running the ball. Line and receivers were solid. Not many turnovers and good in the Red Zone. No one expected J’Mar to be the CUSA offensive player of the year. I’ll go with “good” but not “great.”
Someone let J’Mar play QB in New Orleans today. That’s the only explanation.
Looking at the whole picture, with as much time in the system and playing time as he’s had, that was almost expected of him (Smith). I was pleasantly surprised with the defense this year. I wonder if we will stick with the same scheme or change back to more of a traditional 4-3 now that the DC is gone?
Skip wanted the change to limit the big plays we allowed so my guess is we stay a 3-4 base.
I'm fine with the 3-4 if we keep real LBs in stock. Over sized safeties are not LBs at this level. Our best LB this year ended up being very impressive. I was not impressed with him going into this year, but he proved me wrong and I'm glad. We need two more like him.
