It is also open season on foreign interference so you should expect a lot more of it.

I am anti-Swamp, truly, and what I know has to happen, kind of like the fall of the Roman Empire, is a civil war, in this case IN THE SWAMP! For decades the spineless Repubs have allowed the Dems to trample all over the Constitution and the rule of law without consequence. Now the Repubs have finally shown a spine and have fought back. And that is why Goosey and johnny and the rest of our resident libs are upset.
For me, it is just another "brick in the wall" of a movement of real Americans who want to see The Swamp drained. We understood this had to happen. In the meantime, President Trump continues to do great things for America and average Americans. I wasn't so sure he would actually turn out this way, he has been a pleasant surprise. I don't mind admitting I was wrong because what is good for our nation matters the most.
Besides...he actually infuriates the real enemies of America, the libs like Goosey, and I love watching them whine!
The best analogy to what Trump did is not anything Obama did.
The best historical analogy is Nixon’s Chennault affair when he was running for President and he sabotaged LBJ’s plans to stage productive peace talks, so that a frustrated American electorate would turn to the Republicans as their only hope to end the war.
In that case, Nixon established back channels with South Vietnam and discouraged them from participating in the peace talks (something clearly against US foreign policy interests) in order to help Nixon’s election chances.

Interesting related point, LBJ could have exposed what Nixon was up to in order to inflict political damage to Nixon, but he didn’t because he put the nations institutional interests over his own. Obama made the same choice when he learned about Trump’s efforts to get Russia to interfere with the elections.
Fundamentally, that is what is wrong with this President. His political interests are always more important than the institutional integrity of the US. He has now corrupted the whole Republican Party to behave the same.
