It looks to me like Tech is wasting precious time in every aspect of the rebuild. There is nothing taking place of any noticeable accomplishment. Every day when something isn’t happening is another day in the delay to their actually being an opening day in 2021. I have a feeling with all things Tech that the motivations are so low that the powers at be don’t really care about 2021. It’s almost like the sympathy to brag things out is more valuable than the accomplishment to actually get things done.
There'$ alway$ FEMA and the $tate to blame.

In this article it says that it was confirmed that Lincoln Builders would be the contractor for the new facilities.

It's public record if the new construction was let for bids. Looks like demolition can be done without going through a bid process. That may be what our AD was saying when he said what he said about Lincoln builders being the contractor.

I was told by a senior Tech official yesterday that construction starts on the new baseball stadium next week, and it starts on the softball stadium next month. Tech officials are pushing very hard to get the new stadium completed in time for a series matchup against Arkansas, who will be coming to Ruston, but not at the very beginning of the season. So while they don't expect to be ready for opening day in 2021, they do expect to be ready when the Razorbacks hit Ruston a few weeks later. (Sorry, no I didn't ask for specific dates.)
Anyway, it should be exciting times next year for baseball.
Not true. We're actually very lucky. Talk about turning whiskey into fine wine..... Last year's tornado is going to end up being a real boon for LA Tech athletics facilities. Between the grant money coming in from the Feds, the state monies, and yes, other monies from friends of the school, I was told --by someone that really knows-- that Tech is going to be able to build (or in our case, rebuild) new athletic facilities for baseball, softball and soccer, much better and much nicer than we could have ever afforded to do on our own. Furthermore, it's going to almost all be paid for using very little to no debt. It's an incredible outcome for Louisiana Tech Athletics.
