I’ll wait.
Chuck Schumer explained what Democrats were opposed to. In his words: “A giant, giant corporate bailout fund with no accountability — you wouldn’t even know what loans were made until six months later.” Two other big points that Democrats want to see movement on are increased funding for hospitals and necessary equipment like ventilators and masks, and increased federal funding for state and local governments trying to grapple with the growing crisis.
Frisco, you do understand that is the House bill, which is not the same as the bill that the Senate has been negotiating, right?
Yes, both are full of pork with things that have nothing to do with helping Americans laid off work or small businesses struggling.

17 days! Can't fight that.

While we were sleeping, businesses are closing, people are losing their jobs, Pelosi slipped a little pay raise in for the House members of $25 million. Page 134 of the Bill. This is garbage.. These people are EVIL...
Of course, enforcing the law is always a sticking point for you Dems. And of course, Trump's "immigration enforcement" on those traveling from China did nothing to help...
Now, that said, I agree such measures have no place in the "relief bill." While I certainly agree we need to tighten up on immigration, and STOP illegal immigration (y'all know that!) That needs to be set aside and dealt with separately. And, enforcing US immigration laws is not a "poison pill." It's the right thing to do.
And yet again, we see Goosey siding with the Dems. They can do no wrong...give themselves a raise, spend $35 million on the Kennedy Center of the Arts (yeah, art is so important right now), etc... all great things, er, right Goosey!
