Go back and look at the COVID 19 thread and see what we were talking about when Trump said the Coronavirus was under control on February 24. Historian refers to ominous comments being made on February 22.

Those of us that follow world events knew this was bad when Trump said it was fine. We don’t even have access to the intel he does. Just public info. Trump had access to details that we didn’t know, yet he didn’t do anything at that time beyond restricting travel from China. That was never going to be enough.

At a House subcommittee hearing on the coronavirus on Feb. 5, Ron Klain, White House Ebola response coordinator under the Obama administration, took issue with the characterization of the travel restrictions as a travel “ban.”

“We don’t have a travel ban,” Klain said. “We have a travel Band-Aid right now. First, before it was imposed, 300,000 people came here from China in the previous month. So, the horse is out of the barn.”

“There’s no restriction on Americans going back and forth,” Klain said. “There are warnings. People should abide by those warnings. But today, 30 planes will land in Los Angeles that either originated in Beijing or came here on one-stops, 30 in San Francisco, 25 in New York City. Okay? So, unless we think that the color of the passport someone carries is a meaningful public health restriction, we have not placed a meaningful public health restriction.”

The Chicoms are TRYING to deflect some of the world's angst against them by putting out more false information. They even recruited (at gun point) a volunteer to serve as their useful stooge. Here's their story:

Patient zero is a 71 yr old woman who sells "seafood" at a market in Wuhan. She was diagnosed with the C-19 virus on December 10th. This was after, a few days before, she had seen her doctor who thought it was a normal flu infection. She returned to her doctor and on the 10th this heroic doctor, trained by commies, made a remarkable discovery: C-19.

BS! we know patient zero dates back to November 17th. A older fellow who has since passed away from it.

I will never be convinced that this crap wasn’t here in the states in November. When family friends had their kids home with flu like symptoms for over a week. Multiple negative flu and strep tests. Yeah, it’s been here for 5 months.

No way. If it had been here for 5 months, everybody would already have it.

I have had negative strep and flu tests with flu like systems several times in my life. That is as common as dirt.

I've seen other posts and claims about this, but I doubt it. There are other flu causing viruses out there, and there are many times when a "common cold" "epidemic" sweeps thru an area. Back in, I guess it was 2009 during the Swine flu epidemic I actually had it and sat in the waiting room of my doctor with about 25 other people, all hacking, coughing, sneezing...not the healthiest place to be. I knew I was ill...running low-grade fever for a couple of days before I felt icky enough to go in. Anyway, my doctor was swabbing everyone to test for the flu. She told me...congrats, of the over 70 people we have tested today you actually do have the flu. Some of the people, who did not have the flu, seemed worse off than me!

I think the rash of illness seen in January into early February was just something similar, cases of bad colds.

I can’t identity with that experience. I have only felt bad enough to be flu tested 1 time in my life (38 years) and I tested positive. Other than that, I have had 24 hour bugs they were literally 24 hours. I have never felt bad for a week, except that time about 6 years ago, or more with no explanation other than, “you have a cold.”

Not saying you guys are wrong, but my experience has been different.

Still based on the exponential growth in the virus spread over the past month, there is no way this virus has been here for 5 months.

I agree. The first confirmed case in the US was January 21. Now, that's not to say C-19 might not have already been here a little before that, somewhere. And that's not to say that some people who experienced mild symptoms back in January did not actually have it. It's possible they did but it did not affect them too badly. Trump did not issue his China travel ban until January 31. He should have done it sooner, but his advisors cautioned against the political fall out of doing that. That was during the time of the Iowa caucus and the beginning of the political season. We are better off when President Trump trusts his gut more than his self-serving advisors on many issues. That was one such case.

Keep in mind, while we (the US) and our allies already knew the Chicoms were lying about the virus and its effects and potential dangers, we didn't have a lot in hard evidence back then. And we all know exactly what would have happened if Trump issued his travel ban on China sooner, and then on Europe a week or so after that. Turns out President Trump was 100% right on this, he instinctively knew something serious was going on in Wuhan...as did others! Can't forget that Australian doctor who first alerted The West to it. Japan and South Korea, thru their own intelligence gathering, separately arrived at the same conclusions. So, it wasn't just President Trump.

Freaking Commie China!! They lie as bad as our socialist/commie Democrats and media.Massive deliveries of urns in Wuhan have raised fresh skepticism of China’s coronavirus reporting.
As families in the central Chinese city began picking up the cremated ashes of those who have died from the virus this week, photos began circulating on social media and local media outlets showing vast numbers of urns at Wuhan funeral homes.

China has reported 3,299 coronavirus-related deaths, with most taking place in Wuhan, the epicenter of the global pandemic. But one funeral home received two shipments of 5,000 urns over the course of two days, according to the Chinese media outlet Caixin.

It’s not clear how many of the urns were filled.
Workers at several funeral parlors declined to provide any details to Bloomberg as to how many urns were waiting to be collected, saying they either did not know or were not authorized to share the number.

WUHAN, THE CHINESE CITY WHERE CORONAVIRUS BEGAN, STARTS EASING RESTRICTIONS AFTER TWO MONTHS OF QUARANTINE
The photos surfaced after both the United States and Italy have reported significantly more cases and than China. Italy has reported just shy of three times the fatalities.

Won't stop our local TDS patients from pronouncing the US has more cases than China. I think only about 2500 were supposed to be in Wuhan, so 5000 urns does raise some eyebrows.

Didn't I see something recently that China's test kits provided to Germany were about 80 percent defective. Either you have to think they are just diabolically evil or completely inept in the health care arena. I tend to believe both may be the case.
