My wife and one of her techie professors used a 3D printer to make some mask adjusters. They allow the wearer to better adjust the mask, taking the pressure off your ears. The nurses love those too.

Dr. Pan emailed saying unless we were desperate this was the last of the shipments. Many vendors are providing masks now, so that will probably be the last ones from Shenzhen.
We have been 3d printing some mask holders that are meant to improve the seal around the face. That has been really fun. I've had the 3d printer for a while with nothing to really do with it, but it has worked great for these. I assume you are talking about the ones that go on the back of the head and the mask straps hook to it. The ones we are doing go on top of the mask to improve the seal.

He’s a blogger and never pretends he’s not biased. We graduated high school together. He did include the unaltered memo.

Yes, we delivered some more of the kind that you hook the mask too. It is really designed to make wearing the mask more comfortable, so I guess folks will keep them on longer.

Another example of everything that is wrong in our country:

    https://natchitochesparishjournal.com/2020/04/29/covid-19-related-lawsuit-filed-against-natchitoches-nursing-and-rehabilitation-center-in-natchitoches/

Frivolous lawsuits. And naming two of our "heroic" frontline healthcare workers as named defendants. Shameful.

This is why the isolate-the-vulnerable strategy doesn’t work.

'Stay at home' apparently didn't work in this case either. Maybe its time for even essential workers to stay at home.

Nothing's going to work perfectly in all cases.

It hasn’t been successful in many cases dealing with nursing homes. Turns out the risks of people getting it in nursing homes goes up just like it does everywhere else when the disease spreads in the community, despite the fact that they are in “lockdowns.” If we don’t continue to fight the general transmission of the disease it will wipe them all out.

The masks are essential to ending this thing...along with rolling out the tests of course.

Also, when they start fining us for not wearing a mask will they also start fining those who can't prove they washed their hands for 20 seconds and didn't cough in their elbow?

They may need to amend a state law:

    2011 Louisiana Laws
    Revised Statutes
    TITLE 14 — Criminal law
RS 14:313 — Masks or hoods, wearing in public places prohibited; penalty; exceptions; permit to conduct mardi gras festivities, how obtained; wearing of hoods, masks, or disguises or giving of candy or other gifts by sex offenders

Some businesses never closed. They completely ignored the shutdown orders and operated exactly as they always have. Some employed some modest accommodations like wearing masks and/or some spacing out of their employees dealing with customers. I could name a few but what's the point?

LDH reports updated, confirmed cases in state's nursing homes and assisted living facilities: 3,200 cases and 640 deaths, of the totals shown for the state.

There are 230 such facilities in the state.
