I made a labeling mistake on number 6 it should be Stroke and cerebrovascular diseases
That is my understanding - they don’t test until they see symptoms (pulse ox or temperature). Depending on the level of care/Exposure the residents had to the worker maybe they are more conservative in that wing.
It spreads so fast in nursing homes, I am convinced that the testing protocols are not conservative enough there.
Nothing is conservative enough these days. That's why we're in the "chit" we're in.
Seabaugh tries to end the lockdown. As the governor points out we would be the only state in the nation, and it would end federal funding.

Shows how powerful the federal guvmint is. They use "loss of federal funding" to control the states. The 10th Amendment might as well not exist.
But, until we get rid of the libtards who bow at the altar of centralized guvmint, and the countless fools who follow them, the reality is states have to play the game under the current rules. There are other games that can be played though, i.e. politics. Louisiana needs to find a compromise position between JBE's draconian edicts and Seabaugh et al demands.

Ouachita still adding new cases at a high rate. Hopefully, they can trace the origin of the infections and isolate it.
I hate the way they report information. It's like listening to a baseball game and the only information they give you is the number of pitches thrown (no idea of balls, strikes, hits, runs, etc.).
Would be nice to have some idea other than just a positive test. Was the individual hospitalized, ventilator?
Last two days since the above report showed increase in cases in Ouachita at 24 and 25. Six additional deaths.
Lincoln had 0 and 3 with one new death.
Just heard the 5th death in Natch Parish, C-19 related, is a woman who worked at the local post office. If she did indeed die from the virus, or from complications related to it, which is not confirmed, then wow! I bet it hasn't been 2-3 weeks that I last saw her and spoke to her in the PO while I was sending a certified letter. She was her usual smiling, jovial, and very helpful self that day. Might even have been barely 2 weeks ago... This woman fits some of the high risk demographics who seem most affected by the virus. Heavyset, 50+ age, African American...and no, I don't have any idea about her general health conditions prior. I just know that a couple of weeks ago she was apparently doing just fine.
As I said, her death is rumored to be connected to the virus, but I have not seen confirmation of that.
Regardless, what a terrible loss. Prayers to her family.
