Most of Louisiana and East Texas is old and fat. You can’t keep it out of nursing homes unless you make the workers live there too.
Once you take out NYC, hospitalizations in the US are trending up. That is not a good backdrop for reopening. Hoping it ends well, but it is a dumb gamble. If you get it wrong the economic harm will be worse, too. It isn’t just lives at stake, even though that is the most important thing.
How long and what are you and the other globalist actually wanting the world/USA/state to look like?
It would be nice not to lose all of 2021 as well because we restart too early, the disease spreads, and people lack the confidence in their (and their loved one’s) safety to go out and engage in the type of economic behaviors that were going on in January. It would be pretty damn stupid to risk a year to try to start a little bit too early.
But Republicans have mastered stupid lately.

Had to run to Lowe’s. Trumper, not wearing a mask. American flag tee-shirt, not wearing a mask. Really over half the people there, not wearing masks.

Was at Stine's yesterday...buying plants...it was packed. I mean packed!!! No way to "social distance" with that many folks crammed into the garden section. I would guess about 70% were wearing masks, including my wife and I.

Where are you getting the information on hospitalization by state? I've only found one that has a few states listed.
