And I understand JBE will announce Monday whether the lockdown ends on the 15th or is extended. Originally the lockdown was justified to prevent our hospitals being overwhelmed. That never happened. So, pat yourselves on the back and declare victory...mission accomplishment. Oh...that's right this was never about actually caring about public health, it was all designed to damage the bad Orange Man!
BTW there's a post making the rounds showing Dr. Evil on the phone with the caption, "They're on to us on this virus hoax...release the killer hornets!"
One thing for sure, you can count on the libs to move the goalposts. They can't hide behind that whole hospital crisis hoax, have to find another excuse.
Six of the parishes that comprise Region 8 have a combined 39 cases, no deaths. Two other parishes combined have 105 cases and 10 deaths. The biggie is Monroe (Quachita Parish) with 842 cases, 25 deaths. Not sure how that relates to recent numbers, i.e. the spread, since I haven't been tracking it. Is it getting better? worse? IDK.
BR itself (East BR Parish) has 2,374 cases and 182 deaths. Again, I am not aware of the trend.
Lincoln is in Region 8? Okay. I didn't verify every parish, nor check to see which were in the region. Just looked at Monroe and NE from there.
I haven't been tracking Region 8 totally, only Ouachita (data from April 13th on) and Lincoln (data from April 27th and on).
Past week for Ouachita has been the following (date; total to date cases; new cases; 7-day rolling average; and number of deaths):
3-May 770 15 21.14286 22 4-May 785 15 20 22 5-May 793 8 20.28571 22 6-May 806 13 19.28571 24 7-May 814 8 15.42857 25 8-May 820 6 12.85714 25 9-May 836 16 11.57143 25 10-May 842 6 10.28571 25
Lincoln is:
3-May 90 2 2.571429 9 4-May 94 4 2.142857 9 5-May 96 2 2.285714 10 6-May 99 3 2.285714 11 7-May 101 2 2.285714 11 8-May 103 2 2.571429 11 9-May 106 3 2.571429 11 10-May 106 0 2.285714 11
Hard to draw anything from Lincoln since the numbers are so low. I haven't seen where they report hospitalization or ventilator on a parish basis.
