Who needs Dr. Fauci when we have Goosey!

On another note...there are probably no stats and no one is actually tracking this, but the second person I personally know has died from other stuff because they refused to go to their doctor/hospital out of fear of contracting the virus. Yeah, I know, that was a personal decision and their doctors and their families begged them to go in. I also know several EMS folks and they say many times after they respond to a call the patient refuses to be taken in, out of fear of the virus. Sometimes things have worked out, and a few times it didn't and the patient died within 72 hrs of refusing to be taken in.

So, while we lament 100K deaths....ahem. An unknown factor is the number of deaths that have been caused from the fear of the virus. So, as I have posted several times, from this to the extreme economic damage done the so-called experts have better been right, else they will have to answer to a lot of pizzed-off people.

You guys really do need to read beyond the headlines, and I am kind of shocked that you now have faith in what the WHO says.

Reading further in, they offer this nugget:

"They're not quote-unquote Covid symptoms, meaning they may not have developed fever yet, they may not have had a significant cough, or they may not have shortness of breath -- but some may have mild disease," she said. "Having said that, we do know that there can be people who are truly asymptomatic."

Yeah, that kind of makes the whole headline pointless if no one is actually asymptomatic.

Underscoring that point, “Many people with Covid-19 who may appear to be asymptomatic actually could just have mild or atypical symptoms -- or they could be pre-symptomatic” Dr. Manisha Juthani (Yale).

Btw, the WHO just this past weekend reversed their position on masks. They seem to be all over the place.

Bottom line, you don’t know if you are capable of spreading the virus just because you don’t have symptoms yet, so wear your mask. Otherwise infections will grow like they are here in TX, Arkansas and Alabama.

The most consistent thing I have seen...and there's not a whole lot of consistency coming from so-called experts...is the most likely way the virus spreads is thru the exhange of bodily fluids, with sneezing and coughing being the most common method. Masks do not protect you from getting the virus. They are supposed to prevent those with it spreading the virus from a sneeze/cough. Yes, of course, you have to have C-19 to spread it. If you don't, you can't! But, some so-called experts insist many folks are carriers, just don't know it.

I understood this most recent WHO report to say asymptomatic carriers are not very likely to spread the virus, even with a sneeze/cough. Regardless of what the report said or didn't say, I have no faith in WHO.

And now the WHO tries to walkback its mixed message statement with something also unclear.


Calling the controversy “a misunderstanding,” Maria Van Kerkhove, head of the WHO’s emerging disease and zoonosis unit, said that during the news conference Monday, she was trying to respond to a journalist’s question when she said asymptomatic transmission was “very rare.”

“I wasn’t stating a policy of WHO or anything like that,” she said. “We do know that some people who are asymptomatic, or some people who do not have symptoms, can transmit the virus on.”
