I found the numbers I was looking for at least for the state of Michigan. Through July 2019 59,640 deaths out of a population of 9,943,000 is a death rate of .0059. Through July 2020 64,037 deaths out of a population of 10,045,000 is a death rate of .0063. An increase of .0004.

How come you only look at the data going back to April when hardly anyone was dying from COVID in the US at that time?

Actually that is an increase in death rate of 7%.

you also have to consider that the population of Michigan increased over 102,000 in 1 year.

That's why it is always best to do any stats per capita. That smooths out changes in the raw numbers of population.

He should have consulted with Dr Guisslapp before taking that HCQ. Doesn't work.

I sure do. Seemingly healthy, at any rate. Sometimes hard to know what lurks beneath, without a diagnosis.

Past that, a good friend - an ER nurse - was recently discharged from the hospital after ICU time with bilateral pneumonia. Thank the Lord. But who knows what the long term consequences are.

What doesn’t kill you, does not necessarily make you stronger...it can mess you up for a lifetime.

It’s not just the deaths, man. That’s real life.

This "unknown long term consequences" mantra seems to be the new talking point of all the chicken little people out there. It began popping up when needed to scare athletes into quitting. Now it is used as a general scare tactic. Fear of the unknown is a not a healthy way to approach life, but liberals thrive on it.

Personally, I know or am acquainted with over 2 dozen who have had the virus. Of those who died, they were already sick and/or old. Healthy people are not dying from the China Virus.

    Mantra...chicken little...scare tactics...liberals...fear....

I’m shooting you a real life situation. Two weeks in the hospital, some days in ICU, is a tough field to plow for even the healthiest among us. Alive? Sure. Okay? Not really. Long term? Who knows?

And that took a healthy health care professional out of the loop for a while...that’s real life.

CDC no longer recommends 14 day quarantine for travelers.. Also doesn't recommend testing for asymptomatic cases.

International travelers. You are less likely to get it from another country than you are in the US...
