That organization does not encompass the movement. They were just the ones first clever enough to trademark the hashtag. Don’t fall for that distraction. Most people protesting BLM are not even part of that group.

But even that group is not affiliated with Antifa.

To begin at the beginning: Antifa—real name: Antifaschisitsche Aktion—was born during the street-fights of the 1932 Weimar Republic. It was founded by the Stalinist Communist Party of Germany (KPD), although various Communist “anti-fascist defense” units were associated with the KPD much earlier.

Antifa would reestablish itself in the early 1980s, also in Germany, out of Autonomism. Autonomism is an anti-authoritarian anarcho-Marxist ideology associated with the Communist urban guerilla organizations of 1970s and ’80s Europe like Red Army Faction and the Red Brigade. Autonomism would find a home among the young punks of Germany’s squatters’ rights movement. Around this time, Antifa tactics like the “black block,” where large numbers of rioters dress in black and move together in formation as part of a larger protest, were developed.

The modern Antifa movement advances the robust legacy infrastructure of the revolutionary Left through a belief in the efficacy of loose organization. The basic building block of direct-action organizing is the “affinity group,” which is exactly what it sounds like: a group of like-minded people who share a common objective. Pro-Antifa website CrimethInc notes:

This leaderless format has proven effective for guerrilla activities of all kinds, as well as what the RAND Corporation calls “swarming” tactics in which many unpredictable autonomous groups overwhelm a centralized adversary. You should go to every demonstration in an affinity group, with a shared sense of your goals and capabilities. If you are in an affinity group that has experience taking action together, you will be much better prepared to deal with emergencies and make the most of unexpected opportunities

But the only question of the three that I asked that this half way answers is “who are some of its leaders?”

Still doesn’t answer the question of how many people are part of the organization and how many people they have actually been responsible for killing.

You are still far more likely to have a dangerous encounter with sharks, lightning or Pygmy rattlesnakes than you are with Antifa.

As your article points out - these guys don’t lead protests. They take advantage of other people’s protests acting like leeches to serve their own objectives - not those promoting such things as the intrinsic value of black lives.

You guys get your chains yanked constantly on this nonsense and it is silly. Antifa doesn’t make a top 10 list for organizations that pose an actual threat to this country. The Republican Party would even outrank it. Certainly Trump supporters have killed more people than Antifa has.

They do, but FoxNews doesn’t highlight it because it doesn’t fit the Presidents narrative. Biden and Harris certainly have done it multiple times.

I would hope so, given I have personally killed One gazillion thirty-two thousand four hundred seventeen...wait....okay, back... make that eighteen, that dude won't be still sitting when the light changes green anymore! Dern, I hate that. And, I am in semi-retirement! Shoulda seen me in my prime!

I did a quick search...not surprisingly the lamestream media and their comrades in social media control the narrative and cover-up as much of the facts as they can. I did find several sites and the consensus is around 28 killed, 420 injured, and 5 police officers killed and over 700 injured, as a direct result of the Antifa/BLM riots. Now...property damage is way up in the $tens of millions thanks to Antifa/BLM.

But, they have a long way to go to catch my gazillion+ kills! And I ain't waiting for 'em either. Just got a shipment of ammo. I'm heading out shortly!

So, since you have a small subset of people that were killed in the riots, you can now look up who murdered them and see if they are actually associated with Antifa or the black lives matter movement, which themselves are two very different things. The former is a leech on the latter.

I am only aware of 1 Antifa related killing in the past decade. There might be more. As much reporting as the right wing media does on Antifa violence it should be easy to prove...unless they have been spinning the whole thing.

Meanwhile, we saw the impact of his effort to downplay the reality in how Trump supporters responded to the Covid crisis - fighting efforts to control the spread every step of the way while parroting the president’s lie that it was a hoax.
