There's Goosy back to praising China.. A country that has slavery, concentration camps, human rights violations. Such a good comrade...

    Re: Presidential Election 2020

I read some interesting data yesterday. 80% of Republicans think Trump will win. 80% of Democrats think Biden will win. One half of the country is going to be very wrong and it is depending on their politics, not data, not science and not reality.

I see National Review is highlighting the outlier polls that say Republicans are vastly underrepresented in polling. While I think it is unlikely that the outliers are true, IF they are, then some of the criticisms of pollsters wanting to drive outcomes as opposed to presenting facts need to be looked into. It has been a disturbing trend in fields dealing with data -- the battle between highlighting data to drive a narrative vs. simply letting the data speak as clearly as it can for itself. The credibility of the process is at stake. Last election fell within the margins of error. This one DOESN'T appear to be as close, so a Trump win will clearly highlight a major problem. Either you have integrity or you don't and if that many people don't we have bigger problems than us simply not agreeing on things. Truth ceases to matter when people are so driven for outcomes they will do anything, including lie, to assure that outcome. Consequentialism (the end justifies the means) is a cancer on our culture. It is NOT a western value.

FWIW, the majority of polling is trending MORE towards a Biden win. FiveThirtyEight has an 11% chance of a Trump victory. That is the most lopsided it has been in the months leading into this election.

I still think Biden wins ... easily. I just have a hard time believing THAT many pollsters want a liberal outcome more than a career.

What a STUPID knee jerk statement.

Are you suggesting we should be more like China? In ANY way?

800 Million Americans Expected to Vote this Election

    quote:

U.S.— Experts now believe that this year will be marked by unprecedented voter turnout. With the help of mail-in voting, officials believe as many as 800 million U.S. citizens will be able to cast their vote.

“Finally, all eligible voters in this nation will be able to have their voices heard,” said Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. “For too long the American people have experienced voter suppression, but now all of their votes will be accounted for. No more and no less.”

“With this many people casting their ballots, those that would attempt voter fraud will be vastly outnumbered and drowned out,” the congresswoman continued. “For the first time, we will have enough legitimate ballots cast that we will truly hear the voices of the American people.”

Some have pointed out that they are pretty sure that there aren’t even 800 million people in America, but Facebook has quickly censored them for hate speech and voter suppression. “We are taking no chances. The integrity of this election must be protected at all costs!”

At publishing time, polls indicated that all 800 million votes are expected to be placed for Joe Biden.

800 million!? Well, given that Dems will vote many, many times, dead people will vote, also multiple times, DNC operatives will ballot stuff, making up voters' names (several times in Dem precincts they had 120% turnouts!, so if all blue precincts get onboard the train...) Yeah, I can see it.

Of course CNN/MSNBC will explain the numbers by saying it just shows that Harris has a mandate!

Similar story with South Korea and Taiwan. There is a correlation between disease control and economic growth since the pandemic began.

Let me see, I KNOW the total population of the US is about 330 million, about half of which is eligible to vote, that's around 165 million. But when I jokingly say I can see 800 million votes cast (satire alert!), you thought I didn't know.... hmmm....okay.

In my defense, that post was more or less on par with so many of your political posts, that it seemed possible that you were reacting as if that was an actual quote. It's not any less fake than some other news that gets posted here and reacted to.

I figured, better safe than sorry.

I still think Trump will get 15-20% of the black vote.

If Trump gets 15-20% of the black vote, he'll win in the biggest electoral landslide since Reagan's 49 state sweep in 84'.

It is true, many people have some trouble separating my serious posts from my tweaks and sarcasm. In this case, while 800 million votes is waaaaaaaaaaay out of the realm of possibility, it is not only plausible but predictable, that the Dems WILL cheat. They have a proven track record for it. I sometimes use satire to illustrate a point.

Whites are flocking to Biden because they are racist, like him. Meanwhile Trump has built a true "rainbow" coalition.
