    Wrong. It was Obama's policy.

But, this is one place I agree with Obama (and Trump). Unless, of course, you are for unfettered human trafficking.

Look also at the unaccompanied minors that come to the border. I guess this is the kind of parenting you approve of as well.

Oh, and one out of three women are raped (have seen bigger estimates) in these human mass migrations you support. I will put you down as pro rape as well.

USA Today is just another commie mouthpiece, so I don't believe anything they print. But, if I were to take it as true then I am disappointed. Here I was thinking obummer had earned a third accolade. Except...I believe Tom Homan over anything this rag prints. obummer did some good things along the border and had Homan obeyed a direct order, obummer could have accomplished even more!

Homan also says some kids who were deported ended up being detained again, and some a third time. Their parents/guardians rented them out to to thugs, drug cartels to expedite their being allowed in. What a great thing, eh! A "good" parenting moment! Yeah, baby!

    Re: Immigration

Good grief! And our commie media is again running this country and Biden isn’t even President.

MSNBC Columnist: Joe Biden Must Heal America from Trump by Surging Refugee Resettlement to U.S.

Democrat Joe Biden’s plan to surge refugee resettlement by over 700 percent to the United States is “what America needs to heal” after four years of President Trump, an MSNBC columnist writes.

In a piece titled “Biden’s refugee plan is what America needs to heal from Trump,” MSNBC columnist Hayes Brown writes that Americans “need to make space” for a surge in refugees that the former vice president has promised to bring to the U.S. Brown writes

Massively increasing the number of refugees allowed into the U.S. has the benefit, then, of doing exactly that — marking an end to the U.S. government’s hostility to immigrants under Trump and showing the world our renewed place in the global community. It also happens to be the right thing to do and entirely fitting with Biden’s beliefs.

The years through 2016 have shown that the maximum numbers of refugees welcomed into the country wax and wane as attitudes in the U.S. shifted. But part of the transformation the U.S. needs to recover from the Trump era requires a renewed commitment to making amends for a history of American exclusion and embracing the country’s immigrant heritage more fully than ever. The time to make those changes is now, no matter how hard they may seem. [Emphasis added]

As the Biden administration does the work of building this country into a place where the laws equally apply to everyone, where health care is a given, where we halt the warming of the planet, we need to make space for the people who’ve dreamed of a place where all that and more is possible. [Emphasis addd]

Biden’s plan to overhaul the nation’s immigration system includes a reversal of Trump’s reforms to the State Department’s refugee resettlement program — a boon for the business lobby that has fought against any reforms to immigration reduction, knowing it forces their industries to mechanize or hire American

Trump, this year, reduced the annual cap on refugees to 15,000 admissions for Fiscal Year 2021. The cap is merely a numerical limit and not a goal federal officials are supposed to reach.

The reduction of refugees is the lowest level of resettlement since the program’s inception in 1980, accounting for an 80 percent reduction compared to the Obama-Biden years. Likewise, Trump has sought to allow states and localities to have a say in whether or not they want to resettle refugees in their communities.

On the other hand, Biden has vowed to increase the refugee resettlement program by 700 percent, setting the annual cap at 125,000, with plans to raise that cap every year for at least four years.

Over the last 19 years, more than 985,000 refugees have been admitted to the country. This is a number more than double that of residents living in Miami, Florida, and would be the equivalent of adding the population of Pensacola, Florida, to the country every year.

Refugee resettlement costs American taxpayers nearly $9 billion every five years, according to the latest research. Over the course of five years, an estimated 16 percent of all refugees admitted will need housing assistance paid for by taxpayers.

I'm not sure I see the problem in an opinion column suggesting that the next president raise the refugee cap back to normal levels.

I mean, certainly some would disagree. But #1 we should raise that cap significantly and #2 this is just an opinion editorial, so what?

George Soros announced he will be dumping his shares in Palantir, a high-tech firm, which has contracts with ICE. Soros said he was unaware of his ownership in the company as the investments were made on his behalf by an investment firm. He says he will selling all his shares as law allows over the next weeks/months. Of course, the value of Palantir's shares have more than doubled since the purchases were made, so he's not selling at a loss.

As if anyone needed more evidence of Soros' views of the US protecting our borders, this sheds some light on his position.

Because it’s so obvious Biden is a puppet of the even further leftist faction and becoming more senile by the minute.

    I. . .I don't think I follow.

Post 1: Oh No! The media is running the country!
Post 2: It's just an editorial, those are normal (and also I agree with it). What's the problem?
Post 3: The President-elect is "obviously" a puppet and becoming senile.

I guess you lost me between my point and yours. I'm still not seeing the problem with an editorial (even ones I disagree with). Papers/websites/cable shows will (continue) to be filled with opinion pieces on what "must" happen, just like they have been for the last couple hundred years. The government will do what they do either way (surely we wouldn't expect a sitting president to base policy decisions on knucklehead cable news blowhards, right? that'd be weird ).

If you're disagreeing with the content, we can debate the details (although again, "returning to normal levels" is hardly an extreme leftist position).

Oh boy. A return to "normal" border policies.

Does this mean we will be selling automatic weapons to Mexican drug cartels again that can be used to murder our border patrol agents (who also have families and people that love and care for them)?

Specifically, a return to"normal" levels of refugee caps.

There was no “normal” other then illegals pouring over our southern border. “Caps” were a joke! It was terrible under Obama/Biden.
