Line-item veto for the POTUS! That'll resolve the pork barrel issues.

The bills passed with veto proof margins. He’s putting the screws to McConnell for some reason...right before the GA elections.

Pretty crazy how fast the newly “fiscally conservative” Facebook crowd went from moaning about waste to cheering POTUS’s larger proposals.

Money to support refugees and narcotics initiatives in other countries...I take it you would rather have them pour into our country.

Money to Ukraine...to resist Russia expansion.

Disengaging from the world can be more costly.
Believe or not, I agree with you on many of these issues. Well, we might differ some on exactly how we address them, but they are problems.

BUT!!! why can't we have a clean bill for something like a financial relief bill? Why? You know how it looks, right? Of course you do. Slipping all these spending items in, attaching it to important legislature, and daring a sitting POTUS to veto it. That is deplorable! This is common practice in DC, both parties do it. It is not a Dem-Repub issue, it is a SWAMP ISSUE! But then some of you support the Swamp...I know.

Wrong! President Trump and his supporters agree with some financial relief, related to the China virus lockdowns, and NO waste of money on $billions sent overseas. Trump has said it. No need for speculation, Trump has said it. Clean up the bill and shift more to direct help for struggling American families.

More on gender programs from your favorite leader himself.

I was introduced to this concept by my father-in-law almost 20 years ago when he was explaining to me why most of his charitable donations went to support foreign women’s causes.

Is he also confusing the omnibus Bill and the Covid relief Bill? Wouldn’t surprise me.

Those aren’t in the financial relief Bill. These are part of the 1.4 Trillion omnibus Bill.

I always wonder - when Trump gets behind is bully pulpit spreading outright lies, whether it is about the content of the COVID relief Bill (which is very much a clean Bill) or anything else...

Does he just not know the things that he is responsible for knowing or is he just plain lying?

Every news outlet I have checked states clearly that the relief bill is part of, imbedded in, the omnibus bill which makes them one and the same. There is an article on MSN.com that says McConnell and Pelosi agreed the two would be merged together. So, as everyone else knows, Trump is right (again). Without a line-item veto Trump either signs or rejects the whole spending bill.

We always wonder about you Goosey, how you can spread lies even when we all KNOW you are lying? You have some mental issues. No, really, I don't mean that in a mean way. I am serious. You have issues.

Omnibus, which funds the government for most of 2021, and COVID relief, 1.4T and 0.9T respectively were sent to the President as a combined 2.3T “spending package.” The COVID bill was negotiated separately by Mnuchin and Congressional leadership building on the work of the bipartisan “Problem Solvers Caucus.”

Right wing and social media are intentionally obfuscating the two. The Omnibus was used to keep the government open and avoid another shut down. If anything, omnibus Bill provided a last opportunity to pass the COVID bill, not the other way around.

What is the point being made other than an attempt to confuse people into believing the COVID bill isn’t clean and he wants to support the Democrats original position of paying 2k rather than $600?

Is the point that he wants to pass COVID and not fund the government? Cause a government shutdown would really help with COVID relief...

You guys fall for the con over and over.
