We really have a lot of good parking close to baseball and football when you look at that aerial photograph

Yup, lots! They paved the lot on Miss Ave. Easy stroll to the stadium through the dorm apartment. Also, plenty of parking near Hale Hall/Memorial Gym. All within a block of the stadium.

Looks like they built a drain ditch behind the outfield wall. We get a lot of water running into that area?

I think everything slopes back into that area -

During rain games I can remembering them "squeegying" the water into that area to let it run under the outfield walls

They should have added a stairway to the roof of the offices/training facilities and designed it where people could watch games from the rooftop. Have a historic bleacher section or simply a SRO area to hang out and watch games.

That new lot has only two entrance/exits. The one out to Tech Drive will allow people to turn right, although I am sure there will be those who will want to turn left toward I-20. Hopefully on big game days police will not allow that. The exit out to Alabama will run straight into the traffic coming from Aillet. Again, hopefully, only a right turn will be allowed out of that exit.

I will still park at Jenkins and walk, provided there is still a lot there.

Now for baseball, and much smaller crowds, the new lot will serve well.

Looking around teams with turf, I came across Vanderbilt's stadium. I noticed they have a weird left field wall due to the expansion of the basketball arena.

Ruston City Limits sign eastbound shows up on I-20 before the new interchange. In the past some of the bars along the service road (east of Tarbutton) were said to be in Grambling City Limits. Did Ruston and Grambling do some changing of the lines?

I first heard about them trying to build that when I went to RJHS in the mid-90s. The 527th did some grading or whatever at the time, and then nothing happened.

So, now that that's done-ish... they'll replace the Tech Dr/Cooktown Rd bridge in what, 10 years?

Anybody being forced south of West Alabama (LA 150) should never be using the Tarbutton Road exit. LA 818 is extremely dangerous just south its intersection with LA 150 and Tarbutton Road north. No nighttime postgame traffic should ever be on that road.

The part between Alabama and I-20 is fine. Hopefully everyone would be turning right. The brave souls turning left should be heading home instead of for the interstate.
