D1 Baseball as us ranked #14 from #16
Baseball America has us at #16 from #22
Perfect Game has us at #13 from #16
Collegiate Baseball has us at #22
That would have been a huge win on the resume for us.
When was the last time any Tech sport was ranked this high?
Other than #6 bowling, I suppose.
I would bet women's basketball in the early 2000's
The blown wins from the bullpen versus LSU and Arkansas are the difference in being in the T-10 right now...this team is that close and is that good.
Nobody ranked slightly better than Tech had a bad week, so I don’t think anyone is going to be dropping in the polls except for maybe #13 OkSt who lost 3 to #12 TCU.
I think the rankings will drop Tech some since USM hasn’t been getting the recognition they deserve. It’s probably anyone’s guess where we’ll end up. I’m figuring around 16-18 where we’ve gotten a fairly reasonable deal compared to the BS Collegiate Baseball poll.
Top 16 RPI is what we need along with a cooperative Governor.

I’m surprised Tech wasn’t decapitated in the polls after their less than a BullDawg tough effort against Marshall. Hopefully the guys can catch their second wind here and finish strong. As much as anything we need everyone healthy and to somehow instill some confidence in the pitching ranks.

After what we saw this past weekend, I'm thinking this is all a big waste of time.
What did you see when we lost the other 9 games we'd lost?
Had you been paying attention, you'd have seen some of the same in all 9 losses (lack of pitching and hitting) which is normal. The loss in game 3 this weekend was just a bad day. The loss in game 4 was a total lack of effort.
