Read this and let me know if throwing 40+ tonight would limit him to 40-50 on Sunday. They allow 66 pitches on 4 days rest for 9-10 year olds.
No wonder so many college players need Tommy John surgery now. That was almost unheard of just a few years ago. Those Little League numbers are way too high based on the updated science. Little League pitchers also aren't throwing high 80s and low 90s either. Kids rack up way too many innings on their arms in youth, high school, and travel ball.

I coach a 12U team and am a bit of an arm care nut. The problem with kids now is pitching too much on little to no rest because of showcases and weekend tournaments. I see it all the time, but we don’t play that game with our kids. With proper rest and arm care, the pitch counts are fine.

It was an important, season-defining game.
What exactly did you think they were going to do?
It’s tearfully laughable how Tech always finds a way to self destruct themselves out of being taken seriously. With so much at stake in this game we showed up to play shamefully bad baseball. This embarrassment will effectively end any post season hosting opportunity. My last hope is that we didn’t just see the beginning of a season ending slump to have Tech left out of the NCAA field.
Which is why those counts needs to be applied per player across all competition.
Burroughs didn’t do the post game interview. I wonder why? I guess it’s because like he’s said, he hates to lose and can’t talk after having his ass kicked. It’s too bad he can’t instill that same desire to win in his pitching coach and pitchers. Oh well, we all know how this year is going to end, we’ve seen the rehearsals against Marshall, FIU and now LSU.
