I noticed the interim head of LSU Oschner (Shreveport) confirmed this morning what our local coroner and chief of staff at the med center here in Claiborne was saying last week -

97% of all new confirmed cases are in the unvaccinated population

I talked to a woman Tuesday night that is a nurse and was vaccinated. She got the virus on vacation and was pretty sick. That would suck to get it anyway, even after the vaccine. The 0-30ish people are not likely to get the vaccine, and I have heard some areas in Arkansas say their patients are younger- not sure that has been verified or not. I guess people are having to decide which one they are more afraid of, the virus or the vaccine. The younger you are, unless their are other health conditions, I'd roll the dice and not take it. It will be interesting to see if the colleges start requiring the vaccine. Some of them already have, and if not, are putting pressure on the students to take it.

My local dentist let's everyone know that his office is 100% vaccinated

And there is a difference between "getting sick" and requiring hospitalization - which most folks fail to grasp

I trust my doctor - after I recovered enough in early January (from being sick from mid Nov to mid Dec) the vaccines were becoming more available he advised me to take the vaccine as soon as it became available to me - so I did in mid March and I don't regret it one bit...

Of the near 9000 Covid deaths in Texas since February, 43 were fully vaccinated.

That translates to 0.5% of Texas’s COVID deaths, and a crazy high risk ratio for not being vaccinated.

I actually know several that say not to take it for teenagers/young adults that have no other obvious risks. We have talked to several in making the decision for our family. There are probably more than you think that didn't get their kids vaccinated, when they did. Everyone has to do what they believe is right for them. No one should tell anyone what they should do.

The admin, CDC, Louisiana and others are sounding alarm about COVID, wanting everyone to mask up again, school closures, etc. Yet we have had over 1 million people enter US this year from southern border illegally, many of whom had covid, and most all are unvaccinated and are being shipped all over the U.S. Based upon this trend we will have over 2 million enter US by years end. Why put these "restrictions" in place when you basically have no southern border.. Even though there has been a lot of documentation regarding Covid positive immigrants being released into U.S.
