Maybe we can send that idiot general over there to teach the Taliban CRT. A woke Taliban is a weak Taliban.....and maybe they'll at least let citizens and sympathizers of color get to the airport and leave the country.
Not hard to believe chaos was inevitable now that the facts are coming out.

Frisco is getting his yank cranked again. Even he has to know that is fake news. Joe is way to savvy to do something so stupid. Remember, the adults are in charge now.

    Re: President Biden

Interesting read today.. Hope the predictions are wrong.. but he is right on several things here..

Former CIA officer's take on chatter he's been hearing re Afghan- not a rosy picture

    https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1...124363785.html

Bryan Dean Wright - started following this guy recently. Apparently former CIA spook and a member of the Democrat Party though his opinions are apparently not in line with current dimthink.

Info has been flying fast but this stuck with me . We are at a pivotal moment for our nation.

    quote:

Former US intelligence colleagues are angry and deeply worried at what has happened in Afghanistan.

Here's what I'm hearing, and why there's nearly universal belief that America and the world are in for one of the most dangerous, unpredictable times in modern history.

Afghanistan has shown the world -- enemies & allies alike -- that our military & intel assets are largely irrelevant because we can't deploy them successfully.

The blame lays at the feet of multiple Presidents. The Generals. The Spies. The Congress.

    America's Elites are trash.

    China knows it.

They will become emboldened, covertly & overtly. War over Taiwan and contested islands in the S. China Sea and E. China Sea is now more likely.

Russia will consider similar covert & overt moves, focused on Crimea, & former Soviet satellites.

The fear is that China & Russia will act in concert.

Why? America was whipped by a tiny rebel force and couldn't even retreat properly.

Meanwhile, the American people are angry, COVID weary, & divided.

If there were ever a time to push American hegemony aside, this is it.

If Cold War III grows hot, America will need to quickly build up & work with foreign counterparts.

But who will trust America after Afghanistan?

Who believes we have the leadership to use our military might well?

Who will trust us when we say "We Will Stand With You"?

Beyond China/Russia, others will take gambles too.

Terror orgs like al-Qa'ida & ISIS are degraded but not dead. Their ideology is very much alive.

Iran's Hizballah -- with terror cells throughout the US -- may see an opening to create chaos too.

Meanwhile, the disaster inside Afghanistan is only just beginning.

The Taliban will launch a terror campaign against American collaborators. The pictures will shock the conscience of the world, further degrading American moral authority.

Biden & Co will struggle to respond.

There's also the nightmare of tactical weaponry now awash in Afghanistan, in the hands of the Taliban and -- soon -- on the global black market.

These arms will fuel chaos around the world for decades.

The Pentagon has no idea where this stuff is and no plans to destroy it.

Finally, if Afghani refugees pour into the US, there are profound implications for security, culture, the economy, & politics.

    Are they properly vetted?
Do they hold Western / tolerant values re: women, gays?
Do they bring skills / education?
    Which party will they support?

The existential problem is that America needs good leadership to right its ship but there is none.

    Our federal bench is weak.

Biden is a corrupt old man. Impeachment is a long shot; VP Harris is an unpopular paperweight. The Legislature is a feckless cabal of empty suits.

Leadership could come from a state Governor, it's true, but not soon enough.

The above threats by China, Russia, & Co will metastasize well before the 2024 elections, and even a heroic new President will need years to clean things up.

Again, our enemies and allies know this.

Upshot: There is fear and outrage streaming through former intel officers over the Afghanistan debacle.

America is rudderless. And the world now knows it.

Grave dangers lie ahead, some predictable, others unimaginable.

Keep your loved ones tight. Pray. And vote for change.

    Re: President Biden

The Russians are loving this and trying to make hay at the US's expense. In addition to tangible things they are trying to do, they are also trying to poke fun at us. Yesterday a national TV network in Russia made a big deal of video showing Taliban soldiers enjoying an amusement park. One clip showed the towel heads waving AK-47s while riding in bumper cars and having a blast. Oh, the Russian TV folks were joking about how the Taliban has made fools of the US. Then....

...news leaked out that the Taliban murdered two people at that amusement park and proceeded to burn it to the ground declaring it to be anti-Islam, a wicked western entertainment facility. Major egg on the faces of that Russian TV network.

Here's what the 3 stooges, Biden, Austin, and Milley, have let the Taliban have. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world...edgdhp&pc=U531. They've never had this many weapons to fight with. They've even got black hawk helicopters. Looks like Putin is rally making the most out of Hunter's third computer.

You're going to wish you'd never voted for that sob. He's only been in office for 7 months and he's screwed up everything he's touched. Afganistan is the worst debacle by a president in the history of our country.

Fast and furious is pretty high on the list. As is sub prime lending to totally unqualified borrowers(although not in the same ballpark since it didn’t involve war). What do you know, the 3 major clusters that I remembered were from Democrats.

The WH i.e. Sleepy Creepy Joe WAS WARNED in early July the Taliban would quickly take over on an announcement of a US withdrawal. Biden is trying to act surprised and/or push the blame onto someone else, but the State Department released documents proving the WH was warned over 6 weeks ago this would happen.

Now the spinmeister, Goosey, will TRY and FAIL to deflect this truth, but we know better. Do yourself a favor, Goosey, just remain silent on this one. Your so-called "adult" effed up.

An internal State Department cable from July, confirmed received by Secretary of State Antony Blinken, warned of a swift Taliban takeover, punching a hole in President Joe Biden's claim he was not warned before last weekend's Taliban insurrection, The Wall Street Journal reported.

Interview with George Stephanopolous was just another installment in “proof that Biden makes a senile Alzheimer’s patient seem coherent”. He sounds like a Porky Pig, Mr. Magoo, and Yosemite Sam mash up. He has forgotten more than he ever learned.

Yeah, I truly hope they are going to start working to fix this without him in the loop. Thinking about all those folks trapped there makes me sick to my stomach.

Of course, I really don't want the guy in charge that said "working to get everyone out of Afghanistan" was a hypothetical, and he would not address hypotheticals.

There is no doubt that this was bungled. I've recently heard an interview with a middle-east expert who posited that the "adults" thought they could convince Biden not to carry through with Trump's plan (the big picture, not the details) and that Biden wouldn't listen to them.

Regardless of how it went down, this is clearly a failure in leadership.

YoU would stop thinking that too if Biden was breathing his hot air on the back of your neck while sniffing your hair.

British Parliament had a bipartisan vote to hold Biden in "Contempt". This means nothing and is only symbolic, but as many said Trump was not liked or respected abroad during his presidency, that never happened to him.

    https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/o...-against-biden

First, parliamentarians are realizing that Biden's inaugural address pledge to be a "strong and trusted partner" and "repair our alliances" might not be worth all that much .
In addition, as with other close U.S. allies, it hasn't escaped British notice that Biden's response to criticism has been one of petulant rage. Rather than accept that mistakes have been made and attempt to mitigate them , Biden has sought to change the conversation and hidden to avoid questions from the media. Where he has taken questions, as with ABC's George Stephanopoulos, the president has shown a callous disregard for the humanitarian disaster and credibility crisis he has induced.
If top politicians from America's closest ally are offering such harsh criticisms out loud, one can only wonder what other allies are thinking.
