It has been prescribed at least 4 Billion times since 1987 with no deaths attributed to it.

It is listed by the WHO as one of the worlds essential medicines.

It works great for treating certain worm infections. That doesn’t mean you should use it to treat Covid, especially if you use it instead of something that clinical data shows works (Regeneron).

Mutations are caused by “errors” in replication of the viral genome. The greater the number of replications, the more mutations you get. The more people that get the virus (thereby contribute to the replication) increase the odds of a new variant.
