Crazy things run through one’s mind while deciding whether or not to do certain things. As an example: how many colonists… I mean US citizens (while in line for the vaccine we were told to get) thought about Ben Franklin? I’ll admit I’ve thought about him quite a bit in the wake of recent events.

It’s impossible to determine if this could be the kind of thing Ben Franklin was thinking about when he said, “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

Interestingly, Franklin was a major proponent of vaccines, even those that were much much more dangerous than the ones we are talking about now.

Michael, I can’t express how serious I am when I tell you that I pray you’ll reconsider your position. I’ve known 4 or 5 guys like you who were fit, healthy, and dead set on not getting the vax. While they’ve all survived, 2 spent some serious hospital time. One is still in rehab.

Well, that is pretty weak, logic wise.

But, since the Mu variant is coming from Columbia, likely came into our country across our open border to the south, and has now shown up in 49 states, maybe you can go to Columbia and be their ElKaren to get them all in line. We certainly don't want to find ourselves in the position of closing our border to keep these things away!
