If you want to call a therapy where an RNA fragment enters your cell and your cell transcribes it to produce particles that trigger an immune response “gene therapy” that is just semantics. But it has nothing to do with what we have traditionally called “gene therapy”’ in that we are not replacing genetic material in diseased cells with the mRNA vaccines.
Again, you swing and miss as to the larger point. Along with all the agencies that are supposed to be set up to protect us, we were lied to by drug companies because they couldn’t get buy-in with the truth.
That isn’t what he said. You misunderstood him. He was saying that technologies like mRNA Covid vaccines pave the way for new technologies like cell and gene therapy. He did not say that the mRNA vaccines are gene therapy. They aren’t.
You must have skipped over the video I posted, that’s exactly what he said.
The key word is experimental. And the experiment has largely failed since the benefits are outweighed by the risk of side-effects for the general population.
The experiment should have been conducted on targeted high-risk groups only to maximize the minimal benefit.
I watched the video. You misunderstood what he said because that website wanted you to. He was rambling which caused you to miss the context.
By Bayer’s own definition, the mRNA vaccines are not gene therapy. Bayer is working on gene therapies, not mRNA vaccines.
All scientific knowledge is based on experiments. The vaccine trials and approvals were done in a way that properly balanced the risk and benefits. It was an outstanding success. Saved so many lives. You are just confused by the fake news bubble you live in.
But definitions have been changed. A vaccine now encompasses treatment that can provide immunity or moderate resistance, whichever is needed for the current talking point. He also said they had to mislead the public or they would have had an even larger resistance. He is right, and they lied.
He did not say they misled the public. Watch it again. You imagined that part.
He is saying that because of the success of mRNA vaccines, Bayer will encounter less resistance to people taking their gene therapies. Read their definition of “gene therapy” on their website. mRNA vaccines don’t meet their definition, nor do they meet any widely used definition of gene therapy.
