"climate change" protestors tried to block the road during the Tour de France today. They did succeed in delaying it for a short period, but the event went on with no measurable issues. Not only did these bozos not accomplish anything other than getting arrested, but they stupidly tried to make their point by attacking a bike race. Hello! they would have accomplished more by supporting the bikers and saying everyone should ride a bike...it's good for the planet.
Yes, the Tour, like the Olympics and the World Cup, attracts a HUGE worldwide audience, so if one wanted to reach a billion people, this is such an event. But they came across as the stupid morons they are and damaged their cause.

Are we supposed to not remember that Howard Schultz proclaimed that EVERYONE was welcome in Starbucks, whether they were just loitering or whatever, and actually purchasing something was completely unnecessary. This was one of his "woke" moments when the big news was that some minority was being thrown out of some establishment for just hanging out, and he sent everyone on staff to sensitivity/diversity training and made statements saying Starbucks stores were places where people could just hang out and meet no matter what.

Notice the first article focuses on using the restrooms. The second says they were just hanging out and sitting there without buying anything.
Now he's WHINING about it not being safe in the urban areas and closing stores because of it. Well, he has reaped what he sowed, and I hope this was a learning experience for him. Probably not....he seems to be an idiot.
