Oz may be trying to play both sides against the middle...so to speak. Perhaps his own people are telling him in order to capture portions of the indy vote and the country club Repubs he needs to distance himself from Trump's assertions about the 2020 election.

Actually, I agree to a point. That election is history and most VOTERS have moved on. I think the best way to play this is not to harp on 2020 but rather keep, as a talking point, the importance of getting a hold of our elections, eliminating fraud, tightening up the process across the nation. By emphasizing that reminds people of the crooked 2020 "grand theft election" while focusing on the present and future.
