Very interesting! Hank has now been CB’d to La Tech on 24/7 sports, which is much more concrete than recent rumors we’ve heard on Twitter. Seems the Bulldogs might’ve swooped in and stole Hank from the FAU Owls
I'm glad Ben is still on top of things. He's a great fan who loves Tech.
Some of us here, including me, are just worn out and sick of the bullcrap our EllAye Tech leaders keep feeding us.
Bachmeier is only listed as 6'1", but that is still a significant increase over the most recent starter. The fact that he has significant FBS experience is a big plus. Still need another QB body for spring if at all possible.
We had a better Oline last year than we had had the previous two years.
Our oline did really well, they could even look better if our QBs were more mentally mature and tough. They held on the ball too long and had tunnel vision.
^^THIS!
It looks like Sonny Cumbie is setting the table for Hank Bachmeier (6'3, 188) to be LA Tech's QB for the next 2 yrs, and incoming freshman Evan Bullock (6'5, 210) to be Tech's star QB the following 3 yrs after that.
Bachmeier is a very seasoned QB, and was a 4-yr starter at Boise St. He threw for 6,605 yds in what essentially amounted to 3 and a half seasons.
Bullock threw for 4,159 yds and 56 TD's as a high school senior, and led his team to a 13-1 record in a very tough district and state playoff run in Texas. Yes, I said he threw for 56 TD's! Make no mistake, this kid has got good talent and size. THIS is what an FBS QB looks like.
And I hope to see Hank Bachmeier to be one of the team captain and vocal leaders.
The schedule is pretty nice setting him up for success. 3 home games and a bus trip to SMU before we take on Nebraska. Also, UNT let go of Seth Littrell. They have a new coaching staff.
