Tech’s underachieving batting is in top form today.
His excuse is that we don’t have another CF guy.
My dad wanted to bet me $10 we wouldn’t score there with bases loaded and 1 out. I feel vindicated for my pessimism
Why not bunt at least 1 run in when We had bases loaded 2 times.
Great to see Karson Evans get a chance when he hasn’t played in 2 months. Brilliance by coach.
As Cubs' fans would say, "Wait til next year!"
A fitting whimpering end to a miserably inept season. Stay tuned for more of the same next year.
12 left on base will get you beat by the local 12U team.
Postgame thoughts from Lane Burroughs after the end of #LATech season:
"I'm already excited about the fall. I can't wait. We will be a much better team. We will be a tougher team. We'll be much better. I'm excited about moving forward and being a better team next year."
I’m Not even cautiously optimistic at this point
Burroughs is pulling our legs about next year. He’s simply not a competent decision maker or strong enough leader to make any big improvements to Tech baseball. For that to happen he’d have to replace both of his assistants and replace about half of the existing team which I don’t see him being bold enough to do. Remember he said this was going to be his best team.
Others agreed which is why Tech was the preseason favorite to win the conference. Which I knew was a reach, especially since DBU was now in CUSA. But, I was hopeful we would at least, ahem, "be competitive" for the title. We weren't.
Tech baseball is stuck in a mediocre rut as long as LB is in charge.
I’m not sure I see ANY Louisiana Tech sport being any better next year.
The sunshine pumpers and blue koolaid drinkers will tell you otherwise, but the proof is in the product.
I won’t be a sunshine pumper so much, but I refuse to completely write off any to four teams until they have lost their last game for the season.
