My view is that we will end the season 9-3 with losses to Nebraska, Liberty and 1 conference game. Would love to know everyone's thoughts on where we will end the season.
Could be wrong, but expect Cumbie to have a solid year after he hit the portal hard and year 2 in the system.

I usually talk myself into an undefeated season around the beginning of August each year. I'm not quite there yet (getting closer every day) but 3-9 to 9-3 would be quite a leap, even in the portal era and with our new conference slate. I'd take it, but I wouldn't bet my house on it.
If we don't go undefeated in conference, we really have no business pretending to have a football team. I'm afraid that our record right now (0-0) is about as hopeful as it's going to get.
All I can say is that thankfully it wasn’t Cumbie predicting Tech to go 9-3 like Burroughs essentially did bragging on what a good team he had going into last season or how AD Wood did when he raised season ticket prices to ride the wave on the previous year’s success which as we all know crashed and burned this year. If Cumbie is smart he’s going to coach his backside off this season and not make the same play calling blunders he made last year.
