Do college softball teams ever give a full ride to a player? I am trying to put together some statistics for seniors that I teach showing how the options are broken down for aid etc....

Rarely. Baseball and Softball depend a lot on TOPS, Academic Scholarships, and other grants to fill in what's missing for players. Since Baseball/Softball players tend to be smarter than Football/Basketball players they use partial sports scholarships to cover what's not covered by Academic Scholarships and TOPS.
Which is sad. I have no idea what all that money can pay for or how it can be allotted against tuition, books, food, or housing. However, seems those kids should be able to scream discrimination if they are smart, athletic, and poor. All scholarships aren’t created equal and I’m sure don’t cover near as much even in combo like a full ride for BBall or FB.
Thanks. That's what I thought, just wanted to see if I was on the right path.
