Im glad we have Bachmeier as our QB with all of his experience! I think his avg passing ydg/gm is 272. Hate to sound like an old fogey and talk about the good old days but Tim Rattay avg/gm was 386. Something!!!
Cautiously optimistic we see a passing game that approaches 300, but we have to run the ball for 100/game too. We don’t have receivers now like we had when Rattay, Sokol, Driskel, and Cameron were here.
Passing is going to be key this weekend because nobody is going to be able to run very efficiently in 100+ heat. Run blocking won’t hold up in those temperatures.
Actually, I think they ought to consider postponing the game due to heat. Those kids shouldn't be risking their lives in this heat, temps on the field are going to be very dangerous.
Unless it's been changed, at least it's an 8:00pm kickoff. Heat will at least be starting to subside some by then. Still gonna be hot as blazes though...
