First half had me nervous.... I was having some PTSD about NW State. Second half was the way it should have been the whole game, but at least we finally got it going. Our passing HAS to improve and our D Line needs some work. Just glad we are starting 2-1 and have some great highlight reels on our scores. On to North Texas.... Just hoping the second half was a confidence booster. I think we will be 3-1 by next Sunday....
Gave up 185 yards rushing to a lousy FCS team. Not just an FCS team, but a lousy one! And it wasn't "junk time" either, it was when the game was still on the line. Very concerning going forward.
Still not seeing what all the hype is with this Bachmeier dude. Very, very mediocre, at best. We haven't had a true blue "Tech QB" since Ryan Higgins in 2016. We used to dominate the aerial attack. Even have Troy Edwards' son on the team...hmmm. There are now no Tech QBs in the all-time NCAA career passing records. Rattay and McCown used to be, but both have been pushed out of the top 10 list as other schools have passed us by.
Keith Willis will be in the portal after this season. Better enjoy him while he's here.
On paper we should handle UNT next week. Games aren't played on paper. I have zero confidence in Coach Crummy, just seems clueless and lost out there. This is one of, if not THE WEAKEST schedules Tech has had in modern times anyway. The non-conference schedule is very weak, and with the changes and all the newbies in CUSA, the conference slate is easy (on paper). WKU and Liberty are good, and SHSU is playing good defense so far. But there are no truly strong teams of whom you would circle on the schedule as a "big game." CUSA is the weakest/worst FBS conference and it's not even close. Would like to be the tallest midget in the room, but...
How is Utah ranked 13? Barely beat a Baylor team that is probably not much better than us. I’m already bored with the season as a whole. College football will never again be the showcase of talent it should be. Talent will never be together long enough to develop any kind of chemistry. 1 standout player will not be recognized anymore because there won’t be anyone around him to make him better.

Which is the major problem with early rankings. BU and UF may be .500 teams this season.
I think week 5 personally. But yeah, early and preseason rankings are usually wrong, sometimes by a lot.
Utah will get its chance to test their mettle vs. USC (Hypesman winner) and Colorado (the second coming of the Lombardi Packers!). Then we'll see where they should be ranked.

This just isn't true. The MAC had 2 losses to FCS games last Saturday. And took a last second score to avoid 2 more losses. C-USA teams overall have looked much more competitive in non-conference play this season. I know saying we're better than MAC isn't much, but still..

Willis reminds me of Kenneth Dixon. And, unfortunately, as stated above - I thought "Man, he'll be in the portal next year." Then I thought - "Get that man a NIL!" Perhaps he has just been a flash in the pan, but I think he could go on to have a great collegiate career and possibly make it to the NFL.
