Rob Reiner, the libtard movie producer and "Meathead" has a new documentary on the assassination where he claims the real truth is revealed, including names of the various shooters and co-conspirators.

C.S. Lewis also died Nov 22, 1963 --- also Aldous Huxley died later that day after JFK and Lewis had passed.

Was in Signal School at Fort Gordon, Georgia when our instructor walked through and told us to turn all radio equipment off - the President had just been shot in Dallas. A parade already scheduled for the next day became a Memorial Parade for JFK.

    Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

President Abraham Lincoln formalized the previous haphazard celebration of "thanksgiving" by declaring a national holiday as the third Thursday of November as a day of national giving thanks. This occurred in 1863. It has been erroneously reported, documented by history-revisionist, that Lincoln did this to celebrate and give thanks for the Union victory at Gettysburg in July of that year. But there is no evidence to support that. Most historians rightfully maintain that Lincoln was searching for some kind of unifying symbol to unite the floundering support for his war effort and the northern populace losing faith in his ability to bring the war to a successful conclusion. Lincoln wanted to try to focus the people's attention on all the good things they still had reason to be thankful for.

Anyway, Thanksgiving Day is an American holiday and its continued decline in relevance is being orchestrated by the globalist, anti-American forces at devious work in this country. They very cleverly are using "early" Christmas attention to over-shadow Thanksgiving, to try to push it into the past. And of course, they have bastardized the traditional history of the pilgrims and the "first Thanksgiving" with the indians who saved their butts from starvation.

So, at our house, we celebrate Thanksgiving! My dad did not allow even a mention of Christmas, and certainly no Christmas decorations, until after Thanksgiving. And I have continued that tradition in my household. Our house has nothing but fall colors, a stuffed turkey, and little pilgrim figurines out right now. Now...tomorrow...my wife will start to drag out the Christmas decorations and start the transition to Christmas. But not today!

BTW, Thanksgiving Day is now the 4th Thursday of November, not the 3rd, per Lincoln, because FDR changed it in 1941. Just before the attack on Pearl Harbor one week later.

A date that will live in infamy...

From the DYK category (Did You Know) I find it interesting that the USS Enterprise and her small escort, was less than 200 miles away from Pearl Harbor during the attack. "Scouting 6" which was the Big E's scout squadron, composed of Dauntless dive bombers and the Vought Kingfisher, both two-seater planes, 12 planes, were out on routine patrol ahead of the Enterprise and her escorts. She had two light cruisers and two destroyers with her, although her complete task force was larger, 6 cruisers, 12 destroyers, and usually 2 battleships, was her normal compliment...on paper. But the Big E had been sent on a top-secret mission to Wake Island to deliver some fighters to the base there. She was on the return trip back to Pearl when the attack began. High command wanted her to complete the mission to Wake Island quickly, so only four fast escorts were assigned, and besides, when she departed on that mission the US was not at war, yet.

Back to her scouts...so these 12 planes are out on routine patrol when they start picking up chatter on their radios about an attack underway. They relayed what they were hearing back to the Enterprise, whose captain sounded general quarters and her fighters were quickly brought up on the flight deck. The 12 scouts were ordered to proceed to Pearl for a look-see and to report back. They were jumped by two squadrons of Jap Zeros who were on their return trip back to their carriers. In the dogfight that occurred, it was a mismatch since the Dauntless and Kingfisher were not fighters, but they held their own. Two of the scouts were shot down and three more badly shot-up such as they had to make an emergency landing on Hawaii, but at a civilian airport. The Japs lost two Zeros shot down and six more damaged by the out-classed, but spunky, scout planes. The Japs called off the fighting over concern their gas tanks were getting low and they were still some 300 miles from their carriers.

The Enterprise stayed out to sea so she could maneuver if attacked by the Japs, but the Jap fleet had already turned for home late on December 7th. The next day, Monday December 8th, the Enterprise pulled into Pearl Harbor and witnessed the damage done. She was quickly refitted and refueled and sailed out again the next day. The Lexington and Saratoga had been away on training missions and/or delivering planes to bases. The Hornet and Yorktown were assigned to the Atlantic fleet at this time, and then redeployed to the Pacific in the next couple of months.

Most common accounts of the Jap fleet that attacked Pearl Harbor mentions their four fleet carriers, their biggies. But they also had two escort carriers whose planes were ordered to protect the fleet and did not participate in the attack on Pearl.

    Re: This Date in History

This date, 80 years ago, altered the world. Thousands upon thousands of boys and men representing many nations of the Allied Forces placed boots on the beaches of occupied France. Thus, the final push for liberation of an entire continent, if not the entire world, began. For 2,501 Americans, their final footprint would be left in the sand. Soon to be washed away by blood-stained water.

It still amazes me the bravery of these young men and boys. To hear the bullets ricocheting off the side of the Higgins boat, waiting for the ramp to drop, and your only choice was to run toward the gunfire. If you’ve never seen Saving Private Ryan, just watch the first fifteen minutes to get some idea of what they faced. I remember seeing it at the theater, and people walking out crying during these scenes because they couldn’t take it anymore. Imagine what it felt like being the person, hiding behind a dead friend for survival.

It was the seventeenth anniversary of D-Day (departure day), the year I was born. Over the years, I remember parades on the Fourth of July in my small town, and those WWII vets always received some of the loudest cheers. I remember stories told by my great Uncle and some other veterans, though most never spoke of what they did or saw. They were, however, truly the Greatest Generation that ever lived. What they did and what they sacrificed is unimaginable today.

Over the years, I have watched how much the significance of our historical events has diminished. How many important dates in American and World history are pushed aside for the celebration of “other” things? The Greatest Generation and the legacy they left behind may soon fade into the shadowy memories of long-gone occurrences. The pendulum of time has swung. A simple quote to finish out, one many have heard many times: “Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. And weak men create hard times.” At what point are we now?

Our Commander-is-asleep struck again. Today at Normandy he said, "on this beach on June 5th, 1944 allied troops landed to end the tyranny of Hitley...

Oh, I get it! There was Hitley, whom we attacked on June 5th and also Hitler, whom we landed to fight on June 6th. Biden is such a moron.

Kamala Harris is making the late-night TV rounds, pretending like she doesn't think she'll end up as POTUS sometime in 2025. [Cue the hyena laugh].

Since Biden already wrecked the sanctity of this day, I’d like to add a thought. Can you imagine todays 16-20 year olds storming those beaches? The world would be speaking German for sure.

I think about that a lot. Not many of those guys are left with us today. I'd say that every man represented that day was a man's man.

We all know what happened on this date in 1941. We need to remember and remain vigilant, so such mess never happens again. God bless America.
