I'm glad he's gone. We couldn't win with Bachmier. I'm not saying we have batter talent on the bench, but we just couldn't win with Bachmier. That's a fact. At least this way, somebody else --even if it's someone else still in the portal-- gets an honest shot at the QB1 job. I don't think Cumbie is our biggest problem - no one wants to say it but Wood is our weakest link in the chain, look at his hires and management style VERY VERY VERY bad
We've been as bad or worse in football before and have recovered but who will lead the entire athletic program out of the woods? Where is the next Jim Oakes to get us out of this wilderness (because Wood is as bad or worse than Jerry Stovall)

NC State's FB coach has put out a plea to the fanbase to donate $5 million so they can "recruit and retain" football players. There ya go! The last of the sports I still follow closely is withering on the vine. Its days are numbered and will fade away, just like every other sport I used to follow and enjoy.
I have a whole library of books I need to read and some, re-read. Am enjoying another book on Napoleon. BTW, the recently released movie is NOT historically accurate.
Me too, just re-read the whole Dune series including the pre-Dune books and now re-reading on the Asimov Robot/Foundation series.
Major book suggestion: "Return of the God Hypothesis" by Stephen C Meyer. The topic of Christian Apologetics has strongly refreshed my desire to study science and the Word.
Any book by John Lennox, Emeritus Professor of Mathematics at the University of Oxford as well as the Emeritus Fellow in Mathematics and Philosophy of Science at Green Templeton College, Oxford - absolute Christian genius.
The Napoleon movie seriously sucked. Showed almost none of his genius and how he changed the governing foundation of Europe. Way too much Josephine, he is famous for his own genius, NOT Josephine.

I skipped the Napoleon movie and just watched Waterloo again.
Rod Steiger did a great job portraying Napoleon. And that movie is awesome...no CGI...all real actors (actually real Soviet soldiers cast in the movie.)
John McClain, formerly of the Houston Chronicle, reposted a tweet from Sam McKewon: Per Matt Rule, "A good QB in the portal costs $1M, $1.5M, $2M in NIL money". Unbelievable!

Wishing him the best! Hopefully, he can work with someone who can increase his range a little and fine tune the accuracy. He should get a shot in the league. At least the numbers say that to me.
