We have a rule at our house that if Linus and Lucy comes on, you are required to dance. Doesn't have to be these moves, but that is encouraged.

Great rule!
it is theoretically possible to pass up a box of fresh donuts without taking one. but as far as i know that is just theory -- i have no empirical evidence to support it...
I think I've said this before, but NSD is my annual reminder that I'm not great at unfollowing people on twitter. Specifically former assistant coaches who now work for other schools.
Every year I'm like "what the heck, I don't care about Troy/Nebraska/ULM/USM/SFA/Missouri/LSU/Montans signees!" and then if I don't unfollow right then (and they don't tweet a lot when it's not NSD) the same thing happens again the next year. It's almost a new holiday tradition for me.
I told Ben Carlisle I was just going to wait until the first game and buy a program.
you're a crooked jerky jockey and you drive a crooked hoss.
My sis in law is an illustrator for children’s books. She gives presentations at schools and libraries where she reads books she has written and/or illustrated to kids. All presentations are free and give her an opportunity to promote her work in a new market. She did a presentation at the Lincoln Parish Library today. When she arrived, they had no idea she was coming and had no one in the building who could assist in the set up of the audio visual equipment for her presentation. Apparently, the contact person is no longer employed there and had not put anything on a calendar to reserve space or equipment. Our tax dollars at work.
Libraries and good for free wifi and wasting local tax dollars. I've not sure why politicians feel the need for more parish libraries. A good way to spend China Virus federal funds maybe? We have big new buildings over here in Ouachita Parish. Rarely will you ever see more than 2 vehicles parked at any of them during working hours.
The Natchitoches Parish Library has one main facility and a small branch in Campti. Their annual revenue, from taxpayers, is well over $3.5 million, plus other sources of revenue, including an annual stipend from Baton Rouge (more taxpayer money). The NPL has a surplus of over $9 million in the bank, which is why they thought it was okay to purchase two 4-wheel drive pickups and two passenger vans in 2023. I guess they'll buy a helicopter in 2024.
Public libraries are a joke and just another albatross for wasting taxpayer money.
Public libraries are a wonderful gift to a community.
We never don't have 50 items out.
Ours is the most used public bldg in the parish...
