Our game under Burroughs seems to be primarily trying to draw walks and HBP often enough that one guy can finally come through with a hit to score a couple of runs at a time. This works against erratic pitchers who can’t stay in the zone. Good pitching will beat passive at bats. We watch a lot of first pitch fastballs that are piped at 87-88mph. I would be coaching guys to jump on those pitches because it may be the best one you see.
