Tech is 14-12 since their 12-0 season start ended. That’s really pretty awful considering the vast majority of the team playing are seniors. Next up is at mediocre ULM (17-18) before playing at Tech’s current conference daddy Dallas Baptist (26-7) who lost a weekend series at Air Force. You know they’ll be fired up to streak Tech again this year like they did last year. BP has won the last 5 vs Tech (10-5, 11-3, 9-1, 9-1 & 14-7)… nothing even remotely competitive. Burroughs ain’t the guy!
We'll be fortunate to match that 14-12 winning percentage the rest of the way. I'm expecting us to be below .500 in the remaining games. We still have 9 games vs. DBU, WKU, and Liberty, all will be very tough games for us.
Bates is used up already. Much like LB blew out Crigger and other top pitchers we have had, Bates is being over-used, too many innings pitched week after week. I understand why LB is doing this, he has no one else worth a damn he can count on. We are, at best, mediocre in a very mediocre league.
Schedule shows us playing @ ULM twice this month, that correct? Anyway, we have 15 conference games remaining, only NMSU is worse than us, but they are capable of beating us once in the three-game series. The other 12 CUSA games, including SHSU plus the three mentioned above, will all be very tough games for us. Going 6-9 in these 15 games is most likely. We also play ULM once or twice and Nicholls once. So maybe with some luck we can play right at .500 the rest of the regular season.
We won't win the conference tournament, not with our lousy pitching, so this season is effectively over. Feel bad for some of our seniors, especially "Big Jorge" who has been a warrior behind the plate for us for years. Wish those guys could have done something special, like reach Omaha once. Alas...
Listen for Burroughs on the radio today at 11:30 (I think) for the details to this weekend’s sweep by Arizona. It should be very interesting to hear his assessment of Saturday’s 5-0 implosion. I get it that they were at home and were the more fundamentally capable team, but our fielding mistakes and coaching blunders cost us a noteworthy win. Now it’s just another one of ESPN’s growing library highlights of La Tech’s ineptitude.

Don't recall invoking Hitler into the discussion, I have compared her to Benedict Arnold though.
You are the one devoid of character, bozo, and these unprovoked attacks on me are just more evidence of it. No one on this thread had even mentioned pigtails until YOU did. This is all on you, bud. When you start questioning someone's character you better start with the clown in the mirror.
Have a wonderful day!
For the life of me, I don’t understand why Comeaux isn’t at 3rd. Evans at 1st. Bates in right. And don’t throw Bates while he is playing a position. Better bats in the lineup and Davis can DH. Safford and Drost can stay home and make sure the bulbs don’t burn out in the locker room
