Do you think Dykes would need a Hail Mary to beat Cumbie? 😂. Holtz wasn’t great but he at least kept most games close and put Tech in conference championship games. It’s a downgrade for sure.

I’m not a Cumbie apologist. Getting in CUSA championship games meant nothing. Holtz had a few good wins, but many more bad losses. He, along with McLelland, killed our football attendance.

I'm going with an 0-12 prediction. In this way if I am wrong, it will be a pleasant surprise and mean the team faired better than 0-fer.

If you swapped Cumbie for Burroughs with neither coach knowing anything about the idiosyncrasies of the other’s sport the teams would remain essentially the same. In other words these guys aren’t competent to be the head coaches. It’s completely obvious.

You know what I mean. There are exceptions, but the majority of us who coached our kids little league teams could do the same as these guys.
