I truly "used" to love college football, more so than pro to be honest. The excitement, the college atmosphere, etc was just something that drew me to it. However, with the changing landscapes, the players getting NIL dollars, etc., this now just seems more like a semi-pro league than a college team. It seems as though it is really, as far as college football is concerned, just a minor league to the pros. Now they are joining players associations, etc. looking for more $$$, to get their "fair share". Would I feel differently if I had a kid about to enter college athletics? Not sure, but in my simple mind, they are getting an education (full ride) if they choose to use the opportunity and I wonder how they are getting short changed. Maybe there are arguments to the contrary, but with all of this happening, I can feel my enthusiasm waning to a point of wondering if I will even care when September comes around. Maybe it's just me...........

It's not just you. Many of us share this sentiment about CFB. Has been my favorite sport but is waning rapidly. Used to love those Saturday afternoon games on ABC, with the likes of Chris Schenkel, Coach Bud Wilkinson, and of course the GOAT: Keith Jackson!

Gonna hang in there and hope things turn around. Still love college football.
