Gonna be a long day tomorrow
Did the cajuns just play their way out of the tournament?

With potential 11 games to go, if any get postponed today, then I don't see how they are going to complete a double-elimination tournament.
The only way I think it would be possible is if the top bracket played at another location. But where...
Ruston High Baseball / We were only scheduled to played Non-conference games there in 2020. The canceled conference games were scheduled for Monroe or Jackson, MS. We did play the 2019 Final series vs. WKU there.
I don't know if Monroe has turf field and I know Grambling doesn't. Monroe would be best choice, but you'd still have to put together a staff to run the other location and probably no ESPN+.
But you could definitely get 3 games in at each location to catch up.
The conference dropped the ball with the schedule this morning -
Should of started the resumption of our game at 8:00 am with the Liberty vs SHSU 45 minutes immediately following the conclusion of that game so forth and so on -
You play beat the weather during the regular season, why not do the same during the tournament?
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
Is it raining. It sprinkled for about 3 minutes when I was in town about 3:00.
I wouldn't think so. If USM wins the auto-bid than ULL should also get a nod, and maybe one other...not sure who. If USM doesn't win the auto-bid and a team not even on the bubble does, well you know some other team will get the shaft.
BTW, there is such a bias toward the P5 that ESPN NCAA Baseball scoreboard, phone app, tracks the P5 games posting updates every 1/2 inning, while they don't even post final scores for non-P5 until hours after the games go final. They also have the up-to-date records posted for each P5 team. Anyone who thinks schools like Tech, and other "G5ers," will get a fair shake come selection time has not been paying attention, oh, all these past decades.

Due to some incoming weather in the area, tournament officials have decided to move the game between @DBU_Baseball and @FIUBaseball back to an 8:30pm start time.
WKU eliminates NMsU
DBU wins 8-2
Back on track, but a chance of more delays after lunch.
A good thing about not playing yesterday is that most of our pitching is now on a normal weekend schedule. Hopefully Broderson will be available (43 pitches Wednesday) and Smith can give us some help if needed on Sunday (90 pitches Wednesday)
You have more faith in the committee than I do. When the field of 64 is set it'll be interesting to do an analysis of the number of P5s that got in vs. the number of worthy, by the numbers, G5s left out. I bet there'll be....let's say for argument's sake... as many as 4 head-scratcher selections.
We'll see, but again, if a team is in the low 30s rpi combined with high 30s in wins they are in most of the time. That's just the history of what the selection committee has done in the past.
I have heard some talk about Coastal Carolina being a "sentimental pick" due to their coach announcing his retirement. I don't think that will be the case. They are/were a bubble team (36rpi and 34 wins) Typically they would not make it. They are a good example of what I've observed over the years who didn't get in, but going 1-2 in the tournament probably hurt them even more. It would be a shame for a team with better numbers to be passed over for them.
