I would get a coach out of the UIW coaching tree...what we should have done in the first place instead of Crumbly.
Tim Rattay. I know he hasn’t been a head coach but Jech needs to get back to its roots. Enough of this hiring people from other institutions who don’t know who Tech used to be.

Depends on how soured he got with Holtz and of course the money... No way to really know until he gets to do it, but the offense couldn't be any worse than what it is under the supposed air raid guru we have now.

My son wants us to run the Triple Option and get Harding's coach.
I’m looking for a head coach who can build a strong, winning culture, has established connections within the coaching world, possesses a clear vision, and communicates effectively with both the team and staff. Of course, a deep knowledge of the X’s and O’s is essential.
We need someone with proven head coaching experience—similar to how we approached our AD hire in Ivey. We required someone who has already been in that role and can lay a solid foundation. I don't see Cumbie leading our team going forward. He might have excel as a coordinator or position coach in his previous positions, but leading as a head coach seems beyond his reach.

Napier and Clark will be or will be available -
I don't think they will be cheap but I don't think they will be way north of $1 million either
I think Ivey and Henderson will go outside the box on this - I really don't look for the next HC to come from the P4 ranks
We just will have to trust them
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
The problem is some of those buyouts are terminated if the coaches accept another position. I assume Florida would be more than happy if Napier took another job because it would let them off the hook.
Whoever the coach is to come to Jech is going to have be a true blue miracle worker. Jech can’t recruit based on our recent history, with the added scholarships the bigger schools and better conferences are going to suck up all the talent and Jech has vertically no NIL to work with. In addition to those very fundamental woes Jech’s better players are going to transfer out every year. Right now there are already at least dozens of players who are planning to leave just as soon as they can. Jech’s once great football program is as dead as the once great Lady Techsters are and it’s all because of executive bad decision making.
