I'm voting for ABC...Anybody But Cassidy
John Fleming is campaigning for the GOP nomination for the senate seat. Someone remind me about Fleming. Isn't he from Monroe? I need to research his political history.

He lives in Minden. Just read the Wikipedia on him. I remember now, served in the House for several terms, 2008-2014. He's a doctor, MD. He owned 26 Subway stores! At least he knows how to run a business.
Fleming would be fine for the Senate. Guess we'll have to see who else throw their hat into the ring. But, again ABC!!!!
First real poll has Fleming at 72% in the closed primary Cassidy didn’t want. Cassidy should take his big pharma and carbon capture money and go home.
He just keeps on doing it. He's the worst.
Cassidy is a POS. I have had the displeasure of meeting with him twice and both times I felt the need to go take a shower and burn the clothes I had been wearing. He is so arrogant and condescending. His staff hovers around him as he never meets anyone alone, and they will intervene, divert, distract when Cassidy is asked a tough question or asked to comment on some situation he finds "uncomfortable." Both times I had to meet with him was on official business on behalf of the organization I represented. He is a sitting senator and part of my duties was to meet with as many officeholders as possible. Yes, I was lobbying for my employer. Anyway, Cassidy sucks. He sucks in his political views and sucks as a person.
Have you seen his latest TV ads touting how he has worked with Trump to deliver for Louisiana and America? Gag!
On a side note, one of his staffers is a dear friend of mine. Won't mention "their" name but "they" got this job when the congressman "they" worked for previously quit politics.
** didn't want to reveal if this staffer is a he or a her.
I have officially changed my voter registration to REPUBLICAN. With the closed primary system coming up in 2026 I wanted to be able to vote Cassidy out!
I was NO PARTY before. The "Independent Party" has been abolished in Louisiana. Not sure how that could be done legally, but apparently it has been. The now-former Independent Party was a political party, just as the GOP, 'craps, Libertarian, etc. As political parties are private entities how can a government, in this case, Louisiana, abolish them? The problem cited by the Secretary of State's Office is this was causing confusion as people wanting to be truly "independent" i.e. no party affiliation were registering as Independent, thus actually joining a political party. The distinction of NO PARTY is what they actually wanted. The local parish voter registrar's offices were charged with educating voters to this fact, but obviously, most did not.
I have officially joined the RED WAVE! (although I have always voted RED my entire life)
Not positive but I think the legislators changed things to allow anyone not registered as a democrat or republican to vote in the primary of their choice…of course this was pushed by Cassidy minions who hoped to get him in the runoff
If true then dems will crossover and vote for Cassidy in the Repub primary, hoping he becomes the GOP candidate in the general election. Then, if they're smart (and dems generally are not, but do know how to play politics) they'll have a "moderate" dem oppose Cassidy for the senate seat.

This explains it pretty well
