Since no one is talking about the tournament, I thought I would just add my 2 cents. Every team in our conference has a chance to win this one. This is the closest I have ever seen in match-ups. I was just happy that NMSU is on the other side of the bracket than us. That is the only team that has consistently had our number this year. Funny, though, I think they will get beat in the Quarter finals. Just hoping we can get 3 wins against MTSU this year. Thursday should be some VERY close games.

Whoa! both FIU and WKU looked horrible last night. Some of the worst basketball I have seen this season.

Hester is clueless...lot of that going around at Tech these days...all he has is the Newman-Batcho connection which every team knows how to defend, and Hester has Green, Amoree, and occasionally someone else who can get hot from the arc. The first option is DOA, so all Hester has to lean on is our shooters burying 3's. Shoot well from the arc and we have a chance; go 2 for 22 or something and we are toast. I doubt we can beat MTSU three times this season, so I think we are one and done.

I agree with you and just hoping we can get hot from behind the arc. That helps Batcho get free, as well. Without that, we won't win. There is a chance for it, though, with Green. Cooper is amazing on rebounds and, if he gets hot shooting, our chance improve as well.

I was told this today and after watching the first half, it makes sense:

    There are major D1 players
    There are average D1 players
Tech has none of those two types on the team, sans Batcho

There are lower level D1 players
There are D1a players - these players don't have enough talent to win at the lower level of D1 basketball.

We are stuck between lower D1 and D1a players.

We sucked...1 of 15 from the arc, just barely 50% from the FT line. Only reason the game was close was because MTSU sucked too.

That's a pretty spot on analysis

That should of been a double digit win in regulation even with Batcho out if they just make 70% pf their FT's

And then not drawing up WINNING 3pt plays TWICE in double OT to at least attempt to win instead of going for the tie tells me ALL I need to know about him

Winners play to win - LOSERS play for a tie

Now 34 years since the last Dance for Tech MBB. The Techsters aren't much better; what's it been, something like 15 years or so?
