    CUSA Tournament

Just like the men's side, this is anyone's tournament. Of course, MTSU has a very strong team and is the favorite. First up for us is NMSU. We split with them this year (won at home and lost at their place). All these games should be very close. Brooke usually outperforms in the tournament, so I have hope for us to upset some teams.

Our girls are still mostly clueless. Watch what happens when the other team shoots, a good many times just one of their players will split between two of ours and get the offensive rebound. Or count the number of unforced turnovers we commit. Or watch how blatantly situational unaware we are. This is the DUMBEST team in Techster history.

But, if they shoot lights out from the arc (same for the Dawgs) that can beat any CUSA team not named Middle Tennessee State.

We need our post players to step up and compliment our guards. We can definitely shoot the ball. We have one post player that is physical and I don't think we have seen half of what she will be able to do yet. The other post needs to beef up some before next year and she can be a real factor. I do think this team makes it to the finals on a neutral court, though.

I’m certainly no coach so hopefully someone can explain the reason our players turn and start their run down the court as soon as one of them makes a shot. There is generally no attempt to go for a rebound.
Are we such slow runners that we need the quick return to the opposite end?

Does appear Brooke deemphasizes crashing the offensive board. There are times to do that and there are times to play it more cautiously and have your guards "cheat" back on defense.

Looked at the stats from the game, and really, across the board, there is no glaring differences in most of the numbers. So, why then did Liberty win so easily? Here's one stat that is very telling...LU took 12 more shots from the field and made exactly 12 more shots than we did. In other words, they were a perfect 12 for 12 in those extra shots taken. And this really sums it up, the Techsters were out-classed...period.
