    Re: Russia

    Putin is delusional...

British Intelligence reports intercepted messages to and from the Kremlin that indicate Putin is planning a massive spring offensive. Encompassing 600 miles of the front, Putin is said to be massing forces to attack across the length of the 600-mile stretch with goals of completely seizing all 5 eastern provinces he currently doesn't hold. In fact, he holds only Crimea, 100%, right now. The goal is success in 6 months.

Well, in the last 10 days of his life, Hitler made all kinds of grand plans designed to counterattack and drive back the Russians. He was so delusional that he used numbers from 1941 to discern the strength of his armies. The best example was when he ordered the 12th Army to attack, as Hitler insisted there were over 110,000 veteran troops and another 30,000 reserves in the 12th. The commanding general, of the 12th Army, was summoned to Hitler's bunker where Hitler ordered him to attack. The general refused, citing he had barely 25,000 troops of any value and a few thousand old men and boys as replacements. Hitler had him taken outside and shot for disobeying his direct orders.

Putin has descended into Hitler-like delusions.

    Re: Russia

    Putin is paranoid.

Last night one of Putin's official, armored limos, one of 15 in his fleet, exploded while parked in a secured lot near the Kremlin. No injuries reported. Today Putin has ordered all those who have access to his limos "detained" for questioning.

But, Putin made a short trip to a Russian army barracks today, but before his arrival for what was a ceremonial review of this "elite guard unit," every soldier, every person in attendance was practically strip-searched. Bomb-sniffing dogs and electronic search devices were used, and special bomb squads were sent into the sewers under the site to check. Yes, paranoia is a sign of a dictator knowing his days are numbered.

    Re: Russia

    Wow! Great news!

The Azov Division is now the 3rd Army Corps, with the addition of three more infantry brigades, a brigade of heavy armor, a drone battalion, and a brigade of artillery. It has 20,000 infantry, 900 tanks and APCs, 75 towed howitzers, (155mm), and 30 mobile artillery pieces. The other brigades were not identified in the report, which was hurried out as breaking news. Will learn more details later.

Kyvy announced today it is creating a total of 18 army corps of various sizes and missions. This is awesome news. Was expecting this to occur during a lull, maybe during a general ceasefire, but for Ukraine to reorganize like this while the units are all involved in heavy combat points to the resourcefulness and determination of the Ukrans.

    Re: Russia

Sweden just sent another 15 Archer 155mm mobile artillery units to Ukraine, with another 15 slated to be sent in a couple of weeks.

Also, Ukraine's own domestic military industry continues to ramp up, grow, innovate, and produce. One of the latest pieces of equipment designed and manufactured in Ukraine is their version of the BMP, a troop-carrying fighting vehicle. The Ukran version can carry 8 soldiers and is equipped with a 30mm auto-cannon and a mortar, which can also be operated from inside. It is a bigger than any Russian BMP, armored similar to the Bradley (layered armor), can float! and has protection against drones. And it also carries 4 drones which can be operated from inside as well. It is a eight-wheeled, rubber-tired vehicle and is fast, top speed of 72mph on suitable roads.

    Re: Russia

Russia just launched a large attack along a 20-mile front from Zaphne north. Putin propagandists are going nuts on this news. "On to Kyiv" they say. Nah. Just more dead Russians to come soon.

The Russians have been driven away from Pokrosk, so instead, they attacked due south, away from Pokrosk, having found a weak spot in the Ukrainian line. It was lightly defended by the Ukrans, since all the fighting was in the northern part of the salient. It was like those Russians said, Hey, come this way, not many Ukrainians in this direction.

    Re: Russia

President Z hosted a conference of European leaders in the town of Bucha, Ukraine. This town was invaded in the opening month of the war and held by the Russians for months before the Ukrainian counter-offensive in summer 2022 liberated the town. The atrocities committed by Russian thugs are too disgusting to relate in detail. Suffice it to say that all able-bodied men were murdered, executed, and all young girls and women were held in the basement of a church where they were routinely raped and about 80 eventually murdered when the Russians retreated. Bodies of the girl/women victims were found in a gully, some as young as 8 years old. Let that roll around in your head... President Z asked the rhetorical question of "how would you feel if one of those girls was your daughter?"

The International Court has charged Putin, and others in command positions, with war crimes and has issued arrest warrants for all of them.

For any decent human being this is reason enough for the US to be on the right side of history in this matter. I hope/pray America continues to stand with Ukraine.

I have clearly stated I agree with Trump's proposal to exchange future aid for US rights to Ukraine's REMs, and some other valuable minerals. But, I have also mentioned that the Biden administration gave Ukraine $350 billion in aid WITHOUT ANY STRINGS. That is not Ukraine's fault, just more stupidity by the Bidenites.

President Z is getting pressure from many sources to tell Trump to stick it. No deals, period. Not all of "Europe" is advising Z of this, and even in some of the countries where such nonsense originated there are other voices advising Z to work with Trump/US for the sake of Ukraine. One place where there is some of this anti-Trump rhetoric is Poland. But there is at least one Polish political leader, a minister, who is vocally advising Z to work with Trump.

Trump's arrogance and stubbornness killed the first deal, the one Trump said he wanted. President Z hung around DC the next morning hoping to be summoned to the White House to close the deal both sides wanted. But Trump was butt-hurt.

Denmark just announced it is increasing the size of its navy with the addition of 25 ships. There are 4 minelayers included, and 4 frigates, 4 corvettes, a nuclear sub, one destroyer and various assault and supply ships. Asked by a BBC reporter if this is in response to Trump's threats to invade Greenland, the Danish spokesman grinned, and said no, they have enough trouble brewing with Russia and China to worry about.

    Re: Russia

The past 24 hours has been a mixed bag of reports, some favoring the Russians, some the Ukrainians. And as usual there are those propaganda sources, on both sides, publishing stupid lies. It should shake in the next couple of days.

What has been confirmed, by drone video footage, is that Putin is sending wounded soldiers back to the front, some in wheelchairs. And Russians are using Ladas, Russian-made cars, and little motor scooters to maneuver infantry. As one YouTuber noted, at least they have stopped using mules, donkeys, and horses for transportation. Dozens of those animals were killed.

What was more important, closing the deal THAT TRUMP WANTED, or acting like spoiled kids? Not sure why I am asking you this. You like the spoiled kid ploy.

And yes, President Z is a hero. History will be kinder to him than other so-called world leaders.

    Re: Russia

Rumors are the US (Trump administration) is planning to send "hundreds" of Abrams tanks to Ukraine. The US has 4,600 Abrams tank, half of which are currently sitting mothballed in reserve.

In a related article, an expert (A British military historian) on military equipment does not agree that the "age of the tank" is over, due to drones. Instead, he says armies will change their tank doctrine, as the tank will a part of a combined force of infantry and anti-drone/anti-aircraft weapons. Tanks themselves will be reengineered to include anti-drone technology, which includes electronic-jamming and anti-drone defensive rockets.

The addition of "hundreds" of Abram tanks, which the Ukrainians will modify to better survive the modern battlefield, would be huge. The US has sent exactly 31 Abram tanks to Ukraine. They, and the German-made Leopard IIs, have performed well.

Ukrainians continue advancing in the Belgorod Oblast. Putin is panicked so much that he ordered the destruction of a large dam to flood a valley through which a major highway and some side roads pass. The Russians planted a huge bomb in the earthen dam, kaboom! but the dam held. Well-built dam, eh. But, the Ukrans have advanced into that valley and an initial inspection by Ukrainian engineers shows the dam should hold. Ukran advanced units passed the valley and now hold the high ground on the other side.

An elite Ukrainian brigade (the narrator has a THICK eastern European accent, hard to understand what he says) entered southern portions of Toretsk and then clobbered units of the Russian 150th Rifle Regiment sent in as reinforcements. This brigade, "Stormtroopers," has been trained for close-up urban warfare. The brigade was pulled off the line months ago for R&R, refit, and replacements, and is now ready to liberate Toretsk.

    Re: Russia

More good news. Ukraine has retaken the village of Udachne southwest of Pokrosk. This leaves only the village of Kotlyn being held by the Russians on the major highway (like one of our interstate highways) into Pokrosk. There is another major highway that feeds into Pokrosk from the west, which Ukraine has held from the beginning and still does. The Russians in Kotlyn will soon be cutoff too.
