    From a news source:

The US-Ukraine minerals deal is markedly different from the original minerals deal proposed by the Trump administration. The initial deal called for Ukraine to use its mineral resources to repay the United States $500 billion for military aid previously provided1. The current deal is expected to give Washington access to Ukraine's critical minerals and other natural resources, with the hope of securing long-term support for Ukraine's defense against Russia4.

Says "markedly different," but I guess you know better.

US News & World Report reports that this deal is a lot different than the original, that Z was prepared to sign after the Oval Office mess, in that this version has ZERO guarantees of profits for the US. There is no set amount ($billions) that the US must realize before Ukraine starts getting a piece of the pie. There are also no security guarantees for Ukraine in this deal, but those were absent in the first deal too. So, no change there.

Bottom line, according to EVERY source, this is a lesser deal for the US than the one Z was prepared to sign in February, but Trump had his temper tantrum.

For me, and other Ukrainian supporters and wanting something good for the US this is not a bad deal, because it should open doors for the US and US companies to develop Ukraine's resources, especially the REMs. Most importantly, it's a shot across Putin's bow.

Nice source. You named one leftist source. You make a good point there left winger. Only you would want the US to give favor to Ukraine at this point.

    Re: President Trump

Here's another difference between the "two deals." Back in February Trump demanded Z hold elections, especially for the office of president, or no deal. That aspect was quietly dropped to close this deal.

I'm sure I'll have even more differences to highlight, but as someone who needs to "try to keep up," I'm doing the best I can

Goooo Z! We love you sooooooo much.

Stick it to that rich old USA. Stick it to bad old Orange Man. American taxpayer money is just as much his as anyone elses.

We need to change the Constitution so he can run for US President in 2028. He is DREAMY!!!!!! Who wouldn't want to see that black t shirt in the oval office? Maybe we can impeach Trump and just install him.

Truth be told, he really doesn't need our help at all. I read that his brave warriors have virtually decimated the entire Russian Army and Navy many times over already with rusty, unrelaible WW2 weapons, so allowing us to contribute is for our benefit (letting us just go along for the ride and to feel important).

    Re: President Trump

Some of you remind me of the dems who do nothing but gripe, complain and condemn everything even as the very things they are griping about is good for them too.

The world's opinion is running 80-20 in favor of this deal. No, not everyone agrees with every detail of it, some insist on nitpicking some of the details, and this deal is absolutely different than the February deal was going to be. And many applaud that. This deal is more balanced and that will lead to sustainability. Some in some of the European countries are griping loudly criticizing President Z for "caving into Trump." For its part Ukrainian officials have already stated they intend to share some of their share, 50%, with European nations who have supported Ukraine in this war, they won't forget their friends. The most important thing is this...we have a deal!

Beijing just stung Putin urging him to not lose the war, to keep Donbas. China has, or maybe had, mining engineers on the ground in Donbas surveying/identifying where the minerals are. Ukraine has, according to reliable sources, about 20% of the world's "easily mineable" lithium deposits with the bulk of that in Donbas, about 500,000 tons of it. Russia has practically none and does not have any "mineable" and thus this is another reason Putin wants to annex Donbas.

The bad actors in the world: Chicoms, Islamic terrorists, Putin and his merry band of criminal thugs, George Soros...and a couple of posters here all lineup hating on this deal, the free world, the righteous people are expressing joy. Get on the right side of history!

Nobody is "hating on the deal"

Just commenting on your constant "Z is the best ever" stuff and misinformation being spewed by the haters who really never wanted the deal.

You keep saying there are many sources, but have only given one far left source.

    We need the minerals
We need to re-coup money spent
Ukraine will need the mineral money to rebuild.

Only the US and not the EU can guarantee all of the above.

"Z is the best ever." Hmmm....I don't recall ever saying/posting that, but I will say he is NOT the "corrupt Nazi" some of you keep insisting. I will also say he has been a "hero" in many ways standing up for his country. YES! he puts Ukraine first but why is that such a horrible thing? We want Trump to put America first, don't we?

Yes, there are many, many, many sources, guess you'll just have to look beyond FOX and Tucker Carlson for a change.

The AP (yes, that awful leftist organization) interviewed Ukrainians on the street, probably hoping to find some anti-Trump comments. The closest they got was a little old lady in Kyiv who when asked about the deal and if she trusted President Trump responded, "Trump? (she shrugged), but I do trust America and Americans, so this must be a good deal for Ukraine too." The rest all agreed the deal was good for Ukraine, some thanking President Trump and America.

And they are right, this is a good deal.

Still only one source for a different deal?

The AP thing had many lefties looking for Trump haters. So what if we gave them over $300 Billion.

…and nobody called him a Nazi. That’s reserved for idiots who don’t know what a Nazi is.

Check out the BBC article on the SEVEN key differences with more details to be worked out.

I am embarrassed for you, never thought a Tech graduate could be so stupid.

Oh of course you will just dismiss the BBC as just another communist propaganda outlet.
