No one wants to hear nor read my explanation for a 22 to 12 loss. I suspect everyone who follows the Diamond Dawgs has their own explanation. When a team scores 12 runs in baseball, that team normally expects to win, but only if the opposing team doesn’t score 22 runs.

I’m curious to know where has Burroughs gone in any series sweep coach-talk follow-up. None of the Tech stories have any comments from Burroughs and I guess I missed whatever change there was to the Tech radio show because it wasn’t on at its usual Monday 6pm time slot. Evidently there’s nothing important to say other than we’re right about where the knowing fans thought Tech would be but falling fast from the 2nd place finish that the Dawgs were predicted. It’s no surprise that slacking pitching under Fouts and lagging motivation and poor decision making in who plays under Burroughs is at the heart of Tech limping to the finish line. It’s Burroughs’ trademark.
