anyone know what got the coaches so fired up to escalate that benches-clearing shoving match last night?

I think it stemmed from the jawing between Zeb Ruddel and their catcher, which started because of their catcher's hard slide into Ballard.

There was also so carryover from last year when NMS was caught using binoculars from their dugout steeling our signals.

Yes, Liberty has secured the 8th and final spot in the tourney. The seeding for us doesn't matter. We don't have what it takes to win the tourney, although we can play spoiler for someone.

But then baseball is a weird sport. In the SLC, for instance, McNeese is out, and the 8th seed UNO is sitting at 2-0 in their tourney. So, all the Dawgs have to do is show up, believe in themselves, and allow the strange "baseball gods" to work their magic. It can happen.

We are the 5th seed due to J'State beating WKU, anyway. Looks like if we can beat J'State in the first game, we will probably meet up with Dallas Baptist in the second game. Dallas Baptist will play Liberty in the 1st game. Should be an interesting tournament. Dallas Baptist is the clear #1, but definitely can be beat. First we have to take care of J'State, who just beat #2 WKU.

Just want to point out the SLC's auto berth is coming down to 8th seed UNO at 6th seed HCU. All FIVE top seeds are eliminated.

As for the Dawgs, we have a tough draw. But, if our pitchers step up and we get timely hits...who knows?

that much i figured out, but it looked like one of the nmsu coaches said something when our 1st base coach went over that really set him off.
